On the morning of March 5th (Vietnam time), President Donald Trump announced to the US Congress that he would make an exception for a 13-year-old boy to become an honorary employee of the US Secret Service.

Thirteen-year-old Devarjaye "DJ" Daniel is a miraculous cancer survivor. According to President Donald Trump, the boy "always dreamed of becoming a police officer" and has an inspiring story.

CNN quoted Trump as saying: "In 2018, DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer. Doctors said he only had five months to live. Since then, DJ and his father have tried to make his dream of becoming a police officer come true. DJ has been honored with many police appointments and police departments love him."

Before Congress, President Donald Trump immediately instructed Sean Curran, the director of the U.S. Secret Service, to confer the title of honorary Secret Service agent on Daniel.

"Tonight, DJ Daniel, we're going to give you a great honor. I'm asking our Secret Service Director, Sean Curran, to officially confer upon you the title of Honorary Secret Service Agent. Thank you, DJ," Trump said.

Immediately, Mr. Curran presented the badge to the boy while lawmakers in the U.S. Congress enthusiastically chanted "DJ, DJ."

Besides DJ Daniel, President Trump also mentioned the story of a high school senior, Jason Hartley, who wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and attend the United States Military Academy at West Point (New York).

President Trump surprised young Jason by saying that his application had been accepted, and he was going to join the corps.

"This boy's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all wore military uniforms. Jason lost his father, who was a Los Angeles deputy sheriff when he was young, and now he wants to continue the family's service," Trump shared.
