Striving to inaugurate Viet Duc and Bach Mai Hospital 2 in December

After inspecting and urging the two projects of Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital, branch 2 in Ninh Binh, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long directed the units to strive to organize the inauguration of the two projects on December 19.

On October 31, the Government Office issued Notice No. 591/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long during the inspection and supervision of the construction investment project of the second facility of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the great efforts of the Ministry of Health , the Project Management Board, contractors and relevant ministries and agencies in organizing and implementing the work of the two projects.

In fact, the two projects have made clear progress, many items have been basically completed, and some items are being urgently completed to meet the set progress requirements.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health , the Project Management Board and relevant units to concentrate maximum resources, synchronously, resolutely and effectively implement solutions to thoroughly handle existing problems.

The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Health to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of National Defense to direct contractors to complete fire prevention and fighting records and documents for settlement before November 10; and at the same time direct the Project Management Board to complete infrastructure items outside the building before November 15.

The Ministry of Health and the two hospitals Viet Duc and Bach Mai need to speed up the procurement and bidding of equipment, prepare human resources plans, information technology systems and operational organization so that they can be put into operation immediately after the project is completed.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Public Security to take the lead in guiding and resolving difficulties in fire prevention and fighting work; and to direct the appraisal and acceptance of the documents of the two projects in accordance with regulations. The Ministry of Construction was assigned to guide the implementation of tasks under Resolution 34/NQ-CP, closely coordinate with the Ministry of Health and contractors to complete design documents, estimates and final settlement.

The Ministry of National Defense directed Corporation 36 to coordinate with relevant units to complete the fire prevention and fighting dossier and the remaining construction items of Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2. The Ministry of Finance coordinated to guide the Ministry of Health to develop and complete a specific mechanism to ensure the operation of the two hospitals on schedule and with quality.

The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province was assigned to direct relevant agencies to speed up the progress of social housing for medical staff, complete the infrastructure outside the project and prepare necessary conditions to put the hospital into use immediately after its inauguration.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also requested the Ministry of Health to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to carefully review the progress, complete legal procedures and documents to strive to simultaneously inaugurate the two projects on December 19, the time to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day and welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party (term 2025 - 2030).

The completion and operation of these two large-scale hospitals is expected to enhance the medical examination and treatment capacity in the Northern region, contributing to reducing the load on the central level, creating favorable conditions for people in Ninh Binh and neighboring provinces to access high-quality medical services right in the locality.
