Striving to receive over 1,500 units of safe blood at Red Journey in 2024

On the afternoon of June 19, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation organized the 12th Conference of the Organizing Committee of the program "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" - 2024.

The launching ceremony of the 12th "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program - 2024 in Thanh Hoa will be held in Thanh Hoa City on July 17-18, including parade activities to promote voluntary blood donation and thalassemia; incense offering at Ham Rong Martyrs' Cemetery; giving gifts to policy households; launching voluntary blood donation and organizing blood reception of donors at Conference Center 25B.

The program will directly propagate and advise about voluntary blood donation and thalassemia to about 1,500 people; mobilize about 1,900 volunteers to donate blood from departments, branches, sectors, organizations, and people of all walks of life, striving to receive over 1,500 units of safe blood.

Previously, since June 2024, the Organizing Committee of the program "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" has promoted propaganda about voluntary blood donation and thalassemia in the media; prepared conditions for content, program, and human resources to implement the program.

At the conference, delegates discussed and agreed on the plan, organization plan; plan to ensure security - order, traffic safety, logistics, quantity and time of blood donation in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality and unit so that the 12th "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" - 2024 in Thanh Hoa ensures blood donation safety, security - order, traffic safety, in accordance with the actual situation.
