Kinhtedothi - On the morning of October 31st, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in coordination with Thanh Xuan district, organized a ceremony to commemorate the "Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam" in 2024 at Thanh Xuan Secondary School (Thanh Xuan district).
Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and presented gifts to the teachers and students of the school.
Also attending the ceremony was Bui Huyen Mai, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Secretary of the Thanh Xuan District Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son emphasized that we have been and are striving to build a comprehensive education system. Besides their role as individuals, each student also needs to demonstrate responsibility as a citizen in society.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son mentioned several "no's" in the strategy for teaching and learning about law enforcement in schools: Learning to follow the law is not something that happens in a day. Teaching about the law and following the law is not something that can be done in a short time. Law enforcement, especially for children, is not something that can be done alone; it requires collective effort and mutual encouragement.

According to the Minister of Education and Training, students don't need to wait until they are adults to practice law. This requires not only awareness but also action, in their work and compliance. It's not just about learning in the main curriculum but also in collective activities at each school. It starts with the smallest things in daily life, and the beginning of students' law-abiding behavior is following school and class regulations.
Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son also emphasized that every teacher and parent must be a shining example of upholding the law for students to follow.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Thanh Xuan District People's Committee Vo Dang Dung said that in recent years, Thanh Xuan district has launched and responded to Law Day with many practical and effective activities with the participation of a large number of people from all walks of life.

Through Law Day activities, agencies, units, and schools have disseminated information to all officials, teachers, students, workers, and the people about the role of law in social life, helping the policies and laws of the Party and State to be closer to the people and more easily implemented in daily life.

In response to Vietnam Law Day, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huyen, Principal of Thanh Xuan Secondary School, expressed that every official, teacher, and staff member of Thanh Xuan Secondary School always proactively researches, learns, and strictly abides by the Constitution and laws.
Strengthening the transmission of basic legal knowledge, building a legal culture, and creating a foundation for students to become good citizens upon graduation. At the same time, continuously cultivating the ethics and qualities of teachers; studying and following the example of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, so that "each teacher is a role model of morality, self-learning, and creativity"...

Nguyen Phuong Tue Anh (a student in class 8A5 of Thanh Xuan Secondary School) - representing the students of Thanh Xuan district - expressed her determination to abide by the law from the moment she is in school.
“I, along with other students at Thanh Xuan Secondary School, have recognized the immense significance of Law Day. This is an opportunity for us to gain knowledge about the law, understand the role of law in life, and improve our awareness of strictly complying with the law; it also helps us learn how to prevent and avoid violating the law,” shared student Nguyen Phuong Tue Anh.

In response to the 2024 Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Thanh Xuan Secondary School launched a competition titled "Understanding Vietnamese Law" for all students. After the preliminary round, the school identified the best teams, who disseminated information about legal books (Law on the Capital City, Law on Education); prevention of school violence; videos on current situations; and messages in support of Vietnam Law Day.
Through persuasive presentations and awareness campaigns, students gained a better understanding of some basic principles of legal intent and responsibilities in enforcing the law while still in school.
