Developing green tourism with OCOP products

Quang Binh currently has 168 OCOP products recognized with valid terms with 107 economic entities. The total number of OCOP products of the province ranks 4th out of 6 provinces in the North Central region, with some outstanding products, such as: Sowed potatoes, fish sauce, dried seafood, medicinal products, agricultural products...

Developing green tourism with OCOP products is a direction chosen by many localities in Quang Binh province.

These are positive results, demonstrating the creativity and dynamism of localities to create OCOP product lines, the pride of producers in the whole province and Quang Binh OCOP products are on the journey to conquer domestic and foreign tourists.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee affirmed that in order to achieve the set goals in tourism development, Quang Binh has been developing tourism with the motto "Close connection - smooth coordination - extensive cooperation - comprehensive coverage - sustainable efficiency".

Currently, Quang Binh has launched a series of new tourism products to bring the best experience to tourists, while ensuring respect for the criteria of sustainability, adaptability and suitability with the current trend of tourism destination innovation. Stimulate the creativity of the people to have many local strengths products participating in OCOP, at the same time have specific policies to support products that do not meet OCOP standards, thereby promoting the advantages of landscape, culture and community of each locality.

Mr. Tan also hopes that relevant agencies, departments and branches in the province will continue to closely coordinate in implementing the province's strategy for developing green and sustainable tourism, in order to strongly promote the propaganda and introduction of tourism products as well as Quang Binh OCOP products; Continue to promote agricultural and rural tourism at domestic and international tourism events and fairs; promote promotion at domestic and foreign travel agencies and travel agencies...
