Developing retail systems to create convenience for consumers

Việt NamViệt Nam26/02/2025

Over the years, the distribution and retail system has been continuously invested in and expanded in localities throughout the province, creating favorable conditions for people to shop for and use goods and services.

Increase the number of sales outlets.

Co.op Food, a safe and convenient grocery store, is no longer unfamiliar to people in the province. With its motto of distributing goods with clear origins, good quality, and reasonable prices, Co.op Food is increasingly trusted by consumers when they need to shop. Co.op Food also has a dining area right in the store for customers to use.

According to Mr. Pham Hoang Hung, Director of Co.opmart Tuy Hoa Supermarket, developing the Co.op Food retail system is the motto of the Co.opmart system in developing its network and promoting the distribution and retail of safe, purely Vietnamese goods to consumers in the province.

“From 2021 to the present, we have been seeking investment opportunities and expanding, increasing the number of stores to 14. Co.op Food selects goods from reputable suppliers and sells them at prices suitable to people's needs; ensuring scale and business conditions; providing nearly 6,000 essential items, fresh food, cosmetics, household goods… According to the plan, we will continue to survey and develop more stores in 2025 so that consumers have more reliable and quality shopping addresses,” said Mr. Pham Hoang Hung.

Present in Phu Yen since mid-January 2025, Bach Hoa Xanh stores (Bach Hoa Xanh Trading Joint Stock Company) provide fresh produce and essential necessities to meet the needs of the people. When shopping at the store, consumers also receive many attractive discounts and promotions, with return and exchange policies, online order acceptance, and home delivery...

According to a representative of the company, Bach Hoa Xanh has five fixed retail outlets in Son Hoa, Song Hinh, Tuy An districts, Song Cau town, and Tuy Hoa city. Bach Hoa Xanh has established partnerships with major suppliers to ensure stable supply, product quality, and price stability for consumers. All products sold in the stores have undergone rigorous food safety and hygiene checks and have been certified by relevant authorities before distribution.

The company also conducts regular testing and inspection of fresh produce, committing to providing a full range of products to meet essential needs and ensure consumer health and safety. It is expected that Bach Hoa Xanh will continue to expand and develop its sales outlets in the near future.

Continue to invest, develop, and expand.

Besides having fixed sales points and quality goods, retail outlets in the area also operate throughout the day, contributing to increased convenience for consumers. Ms. Le Thi Bao Hoa (Phu Thanh Ward, Tuy Hoa City) shared: "Most large-scale retail outlets open from 6 am and don't close until 9 or 10 pm. The outlets are also located in central areas, have parking areas, security guards, etc., so people feel safe shopping."

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in recent years, the distribution and retail sector in the province has developed due to changes in the consumer market and the shift towards a modern retail model. Along with supermarkets and shopping malls, convenience stores, department stores, and fixed outlets selling Vietnamese goods have continuously received investment. Besides investing in infrastructure and product quality, these outlets also focus on customer service, and their service methods are becoming increasingly professional.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In addition to 3 supermarkets, 14 Co.op Food stores, and 5 Bach Hoa Xanh stores, the province also has 64 fixed points of sale for Vietnamese goods and many other specialty and convenience stores. The development of the distribution and retail system shows changes in the commercial and service infrastructure in localities. In particular, retail sales are one of the important factors contributing to the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of the province, and the overall growth rate of the domestic market.

“The Department of Industry and Trade always encourages and creates favorable conditions for organizations, businesses, and individuals to invest in, develop, and expand sales points and distribution facilities. Alongside investment, businesses and establishments need to pay attention to prices, quality of goods and services, consumer rights, and comply with business regulations,” said Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu.

Retail sales of goods contribute to the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue. According to data from the Provincial Statistics Department, in 2024, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of the province increased by 11.5% compared to the previous year. Wholesale sales of goods increased by 11.4%. Total retail sales of goods reached VND 44,055.8 billion, an increase of 10.8%. Sectors with increased retail sales include: Food and beverages (up 14.5%); clothing (up 8.8%); household goods, tools, and equipment (up 4%); cultural and educational items (up 12.9%)...
