In the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, the issue of environmental protection has received deep attention, demonstrated through many specific contents and targets associated with the goal of sustainable development.

The draft frankly acknowledged that environmental pollution in our country has not been effectively controlled, and is even more serious in some places, especially in large cities, industrial zones and craft villages.

I think this is a progressive point, in line with the context of Vietnam being one of the countries most heavily affected by global climate change.

In Hai Phong , air and water pollution also have complicated developments due to the impact of industrial parks and clusters or some craft villages such as My Dong casting village, Lai Xuan stone mining village...

Therefore, I propose that the document should add specific directions on solutions, resources and human resources, to gradually solve the pressing problems related to environmental protection today.

Along with that, it is necessary to enhance the management responsibility of local authorities, have more policies to encourage businesses to invest in modern waste treatment technology, and at the same time strengthen environmental awareness and ethics education in schools, so that every citizen is clearly aware of the role of protecting and preserving "Mother Nature".

Economic development is only truly meaningful when people live in a clean, safe and happy environment.
