Kinhtedothi - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed decisions approving the election results and dismissal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term.
According to Decision No. 1416/QD-TTg dated November 16, 2024, the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term are approved for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At the 25th special session of the 15th term of the Son La Provincial People's Council on the morning of November 7, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, was elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with an absolute majority of votes.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was born in 1977 in Yen My town, Yen My district, Hung Yen province; he holds a Master's degree in Commerce and Business Administration; and has advanced political theory qualifications.
Before being transferred to Son La, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
On November 1st, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was transferred and appointed by the Party Central Committee to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.
Approve the results of the dismissal of Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province.

According to Decision No. 1415QD-TTg dated November 16, 2024, the results of the dismissal of Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term were approved, so that he could take on a new assignment.
Previously, the Politburo approved Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, born in 1969, holds a PhD in economics. He has held numerous positions in various organizations, including Vice Chairman and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen District; Secretary of the Phu Yen District Party Committee; Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Son La Province; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province.
