Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien veterans, relatives of martyrs, former Youth Volunteers, and frontline workers in Dong Son district.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the afternoon of April 20, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to former Dien Bien Phu soldiers, relatives of martyrs, former Youth Volunteers, and civilian workers who directly participated in and served in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and are currently living in Dong Son district.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Dau Thanh Tung, visited and inquired about the health of Mr. Truong Van Dinh, a civilian worker on the front lines in Hoang Hoc village, Dong Hoang commune.

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung visited the following families: Mr. Le Si Nhu, a 4/4 war invalid and former Dien Bien Phu soldier in Phu Chan village, Dong Ninh commune; Mr. Le Van Xuan, a former Dien Bien Phu soldier in Truong Xuan village, Dong Ninh commune; Mr. Thieu Quang Thanh, son of a fallen soldier in Xuan Luu neighborhood, Rung Thong town; Mr. Truong Van Dinh, a civilian worker on the front lines in Hoang Hoc village, Dong Hoang commune; and Mr. Hoang Van Huy, former Youth Volunteer in Ngoc Tich village, Dong Thanh commune.

During his visits, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung inquired about the health and well-being of Dien Bien Phu veterans, relatives of martyrs, former Youth Volunteers, and civilian workers on the front lines; expressing his respect and gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of the martyrs and soldiers of Dien Bien Phu in the resistance war against France, contributing to the nationwide victory of Dien Bien Phu, "renowned throughout the world and shaking the earth."

He also requested that the Party Committee and government of Dong Son district continue to pay attention to and effectively implement the work of showing gratitude to policy beneficiary families and meritorious individuals in general, and to families of Dien Bien Phu veterans, relatives of martyrs, former Youth Volunteers, and civilian workers on the front lines in particular, thereby effectively implementing the policy of showing gratitude and ensuring social welfare in the area.
