Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested the investor and contractor to strengthen construction efforts and complete the more than 83km of the North-South expressway section from Van Phong to Nha Trang simultaneously before June 30, 2025.
Open 70km of pipeline by April 30th.
This afternoon (March 12), Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long led a working group to inspect the construction site of the North-South expressway project, specifically the Van Phong - Nha Trang section.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long listened to a report from the leaders of Project Management Board 7 on the progress of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project.
After inspecting the site and listening to the investor's report, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the contractors' efforts in carrying out the construction despite unfavorable weather conditions, successfully completing 70km of the project several months ahead of schedule.
"I commend the investor's leadership in directing the contractors, and the decisive involvement of the local authorities in land clearance and resettlement for households in the project area," the Deputy Prime Minister noted, while also noting that for the 70km section scheduled to open on April 30th, the investor and contractors need to complete the traffic safety system and access roads to ensure safety when put into operation.

The Deputy Prime Minister encouraged the workers constructing the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that, for the remaining 13km, the investor and contractor should focus on strengthening construction efforts to ensure the entire expressway is open to traffic before June 30th.
The construction of the rest stops needs to be expedited to ensure timely construction and commissioning, in conjunction with the operation of the expressway.
Informing the working group, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, said that land clearance for the project's construction has received the consensus of the people. The local authorities are directing relevant agencies to resolve existing obstacles and hand over the remaining land plots as soon as possible.
Construction output exceeded the plan.
Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, the leaders of Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction) stated that currently, on the construction site, contractors have mobilized manpower and equipment in accordance with the progress requirements, with 14 construction teams comprising 446 personnel and 276 pieces of equipment of various types.

To date, 70km of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway has been completed and is ready to open to traffic on April 30th.
The cumulative construction output to date has reached over 6,500 billion VND, achieving 91% of the contracted construction value, exceeding the plan by 11%. More than 70km of the project length has been basically completed.
Regarding the land for the rest stop construction, according to the investor, the local authorities have currently handed over 6 out of 6.9 hectares (89%) to the investor.
Within the available land area, the investor will begin constructing the access roads to the station, parking area, and temporary restrooms before April 30th (to be put into use along with the expressway). The remaining items will be completed by December 2025.

The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway section has just been constructed through Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province.
"Specifically, the first 13km section (from Km 285+000 - Km 298+000), constructed by Hai Dang Joint Stock Company and VNCN E&C, is not yet completed. Project Management Board 7 is urgently directing the contractors to complete the project by April 30th," a leader of Project Management Board 7 informed.
