On December 10th, Mr. Ngo Minh Quan, a representative of Vietravel , announced that the first direct flight from New Delhi (India) had brought approximately 180 Indian tourists to Phu Quoc International Airport to begin their vacation combined with sightseeing on the island.
With its mild climate, extensive resort ecosystem, and cultural diversity, Phu Quoc has become a suitable destination for Indian tourists.
Vietravel and MakeMyTrip have launched a series of direct flights from New Delhi (India) to Phu Quoc.
Each direct flight is expected to serve approximately 180 Indian passengers. Over a one-month period (from December 10, 2025 to January 10, 2026), the airline will bring around 1,400 Indian tourists to Phu Quoc.
Through these flights, the company expects to open up prospects for developing regular flights, specialized travel packages, and international MICE programs bringing tourists to Phu Quoc in the future.

According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, Phu Quoc is expected to welcome over 8.1 million tourists in 2025, including more than 1.8 million international visitors; total tourism revenue is projected to reach nearly 44,000 billion VND. Indian tourists alone are estimated to reach over 150,000 in Phu Quoc.
Notably, the northern part of Phu Quoc Island recently hosted the wedding of an Indian billionaire couple with over 1,131 guests, creating a stunning spectacle and highlighting the unique charm of this beautiful island destination.
