Phu Quoc is about to have a world- class event and performance center.
Phu Quoc is on the way to transforming itself into an international event and entertainment center with the appearance of the APEC 2027 Multi-functional Complex. The project has a total investment of nearly 22,000 billion VND, expected to elevate the position of the Pearl Island on the global tourism map, not only serving the APEC 2027 Summit but also being a destination for top cultural and artistic events in the future.
The complex consists of two main components: the Exhibition Convention Center and the Multi-purpose Performance Hall. The design of the project is based on the philosophy of "Round Heaven - Square Earth", harmoniously combining modern architecture with symbols of Vietnamese culture and history.
World record-breaking convention and exhibition center
One of the most impressive highlights of the project is the Convention and Exhibition Center, which owns the world's largest ballroom space with an area of 11,050 m² and a column-free span of 81 meters, officially surpassing similar structures in Las Vegas. With a total floor area of over 157,000 m², it is capable of hosting events of up to 10,000 people and banquet space for 5,000 guests.

In addition, the press center has a capacity of 4,000 people, ready to meet the needs of international media during major events. The design of the center is inspired by the soft waves of Phu Quoc sea, expressing a spirit of openness and dynamism.
Experience the ultimate in art with Cirque du Soleil
The unique feature of the complex is the 2,000-seat dinner show area, where visitors can enjoy delicious cuisine while immersing themselves in spectacular art performances. Sun Group is cooperating with Cirque du Soleil, the world's leading performing arts brand from Canada, to build large-scale performances here. This combination promises to bring unprecedented entertainment experiences in Vietnam.

Multi-purpose Theater: New cultural and entertainment icon
Next to the convention center is the 4,094-seat multi-purpose performance hall, designed by renowned units such as SOM (USA) and Apeiro. The theater's architecture bears a strong Vietnamese cultural imprint, with a shell inspired by Dragon scale motifs and 50 pillars supporting the roof evoking the legendary image of "Dragon and Fairy's Children".

The interior space is equipped with modern sound, lighting and stage mechanics, meeting international standards to host concerts of the world's top stars, film festivals and many other large-scale cultural events. After APEC, this project will become the new entertainment heart of the region.

Progress and future vision
Despite its high technical and architectural complexity, the project is being implemented at a rapid pace, having completed 34% of the total volume and expected to finish 10 months before APEC 2027. The project is directly connected to the main traffic axes of the island, including the planned urban train line from the international airport in the future, creating maximum convenience for tourists and delegations. The synchronous investment in infrastructure and iconic works is shaping a new future for Phu Quoc, a super destination for conferences, arts and entertainment in the world.
