Ba Dinh Ward: Building a Trade Union organization suitable for the new model

Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union was established on September 26, 2025 with 72 affiliated grassroots trade unions and 9,008 union members. Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Trade Union actively advised the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front to coordinate with socio -political organizations to deploy some initial contents on trade union work and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers, associated with the socio-economic development tasks of the ward.

With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", for the 2025-2030 term, Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union sets the general goal of promoting the tradition of solidarity, responsibility, creativity, innovation and improving the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing union members and workers to join the trade union organization.

The ward trade union innovates the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of the new situation; cares for the lives, protects the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; builds a team of trade union officials to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period; contributes to accompanying the Party Committee and people to build a civilized, modern Ba Dinh ward, with happy people.

The Congress also identified 10 targets, 3 breakthroughs and 8 specific tasks for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Le Dinh Hung suggested many important solutions for the Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union to effectively implement the union's policies to protect the rights of workers.

It is necessary to focus on solutions to implement legal policies to protect the rights of workers; increase the participation and supervision of union representatives; strengthen propaganda, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers through digital media channels; focus on solving pressing and practical issues related to workers' lives; innovate emulation movements and build strong trade union organizations suitable for the new organizational model...

Speaking at the congress, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Ba Dinh Ward Pham Quang Thanh suggested that it is necessary to continue to strengthen the relationship between Party committees, authorities and trade unions, ensuring that trade unions are the "string" connecting the Party and workers.

Mr. Pham Quang Thanh suggested that the People's Council, People's Committee of the ward and organizations, agencies and units in the area continue to create conditions for the ward's Trade Union to operate effectively and practically; in which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward plays a central role in directing and coordinating the activities of the ward's Trade Union to effectively carry out the political tasks of Ba Dinh ward.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Federation on the establishment of the Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union; appointed the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and positions of the Ward Trade Union. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union.
