
Speaking at the opening of the congress, Vice Chairman of Tay Tuu Ward People's Committee Nguyen Si Thang said that in recent times, Tay Tuu Ward has focused on investing in facilities, promoting sports activities, creating a vibrant and exciting competitive atmosphere to attract a large number of people from all walks of life to participate, contributing to increasing the total number of people regularly practicing sports to 49%, the number of sports families reaching 38%.
According to comrade Nguyen Si Thang, currently the ward has maintained and strongly developed the mass sports movement with many types of clubs in many diverse and rich forms, attracting all ages to participate, such as: shuttlecock, badminton, football, table tennis, aerobics, volleyball, martial arts...

“The congress is a great festival to demonstrate the strength of the masses, expand and improve the quality of the physical training and sports movement. Thereby attracting and gathering a large number of people in the ward to participate in physical training activities, improve physical strength, contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and build Tay Tuu homeland to be more and more prosperous and beautiful”, Comrade Nguyen Si Thang emphasized.
At the congress, there was a parade to show off the force and an art program with many meaningful performances, rich in the identity of Tay Tuu homeland. In particular, at the congress, the final round of the women's tug of war took place. As a result, the tug of war team of Tay Tuu kindergarten won the first prize; the second prize went to Minh Khai secondary school; and the third prize went to Phu Minh kindergarten and Hanoi University of Industry.

In addition to tug of war, the Tay Tuu Ward Sports Festival also includes competitions in the following sports: football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, folk dance, athletics, and aerobics.
