Conquering the Online Market: Leveraging the advantages of e-commerce in the 4.0 era, in recent times, the state management agencies of Quang Ninh province have actively supported individuals, organizations, and businesses, especially people and units operating in the
agricultural sector, to participate in digital consumer platforms. Through this, farmers and businesses producing, processing, and trading agricultural products have integrated into the e-commerce trend, contributing to promoting and bringing agricultural products to consumers nationwide. The entire province of Quang Ninh currently maintains over 1,000 hectares of cultivated land certified under VietGAP. Among these, there are many outstanding models such as: VietGAP-certified glutinous rice production in Dong Trieu town; concentrated safe vegetable growing areas in Quang Yen, Ha Long, Cam Pha, Dong Trieu, and Hai Ha; concentrated flower growing areas in Ha Long, Dong Trieu, and Quang Yen; and concentrated ginger growing areas in Binh Lieu and Tien Yen. Previously, in May 2024, with the goal of enhancing the promotion of early-ripening lychees from Phuong Nam, the Quang Ninh Center for Trade Promotion and Development organized two livestream sessions introducing the product directly from the orchards, as well as integrating it into the Uong Bi Vietnam Goods Week 2024 program. Each livestream session lasted about an hour, attracting tens of thousands of viewers and interactions. Through this sales method, early-ripening lychees from Phuong Nam have reached more consumers, while also opening up a new channel for farmers in the early-ripening lychee growing region to promote and sell their products, keeping up with modern consumer trends. Speaking to the press, Mr. Bui Van Tra, Chairman of the Phuong Nam Ward Farmers' Association (Uong Bi City), said that for farmers, e-commerce sales channels are a very new direction, but their potential and strengths are clearly visible.
"This year, thanks to livestreaming, the early-ripening lychees from Phuong Nam have become more widely known to people both domestically and internationally, especially young people. The economic value is also more effective; each kilogram of lychees can sell for 50,000 - 60,000 VND, while traditional sales usually sell for 35,000 - 40,000 VND/kg," Mr. Tra said. In Quang Ninh province, many businesses and agricultural product processing and trading establishments have also taken advantage of e-commerce, leading to positive development, market expansion, and increasingly strong brand recognition.

Mr. Tran Van Hau, owner of Orange Orchard 68 (Van Yen commune, Van Don district), shared with the media that orders for Van Yen oranges come not only from neighboring localities but also from southern provinces, ranging from orders of 5-10 kg to hundreds of kilograms from businesses and organizations.
"I and other orange growers in Van Yen have been guided by the commune's community digital technology team, from taking photos and applying traceability labels to putting our products on e-commerce platforms like Ocopquangninh, Tiki, Sendo, Voso… My family has sold 15 tons of oranges through these platforms," Mr. Hau shared. According to the leaders of Van Yen commune, since the digital transformation, many households in the commune have wished to sell their oranges at higher prices, without being pressured by traders. The aspirations of orange growers in Van Don have gradually become a reality, simultaneously opening up many opportunities for the development of the locality's key agricultural product. Mr. Hau is one of the successful 4.0 households that brought Van Yen oranges to e-commerce platforms. As a producer of golden flower tea in Hai Ha district, Mr. Le Duc Anh – Quy Hoa Trading, Service and Import-Export Co., Ltd. – said that initially, Quy Hoa Golden Flower Tea had almost no market share. Alongside investing in and meticulously crafting each product, the company maximized technological advantages, opening multiple accounts on social media platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok, regularly sharing information about the golden flower tea plant and the tea-making process to increase brand awareness, and selling 24/7 on e-commerce platforms to provide maximum convenience for customers. From this, the company received much feedback to improve its products, transforming Quy Hoa Golden Flower Tea into a 5-star OCOP product as it is today.
E-commerce offers significant advantages over traditional commerce, including increased brand awareness, wider product promotion opportunities, and unlimited market reach, time, and space. Through e-commerce platforms, producers, processors, and businesses also receive fair and objective feedback from consumers, which helps them improve and enhance product quality. Recognizing that e-commerce will be a dominant consumer trend in the future, Quang Ninh province's management agencies are also stepping up efforts to guide and support farmers, producers, processors, and consumers in participating in e-commerce platforms, from domestic to cross-border.

Over the past two years, the province has organized more than 30 training programs and courses guiding organizations and individuals in the province to apply e-commerce to develop their business activities. At the end of 2024, the Quang Ninh OCOP e-commerce platform was also upgraded with many more effective features. Mr. Nguyen Kien, Director of the Quang Ninh Center for Industry and Trade Promotion and Development, said that the Industry and Trade sector continues to create the most favorable conditions and provide the most practical support for farmers, businesses, and agricultural production and trading establishments to participate in and use e-commerce effectively. The Center also coordinates the organization of training courses and in-depth training for law enforcement agencies on handling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights in the online environment to protect the rights of legitimate businesses and consumers on e-commerce platforms. In Quang Ninh, during this period, the Department of Industry and Trade is also stepping up activities to promote and introduce e-commerce and the Quang Ninh OCOP e-commerce platform to encourage businesses to apply digital solutions in production, business, and service provision at the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Autumn-Winter 2024, at the address: http://ocopquangninh.com.vn. At the same time, it is utilizing platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, and YouTube to widely disseminate information, creating engaging and easily shareable content to attract consumers in the province and nationwide.
