Quang Tri: Le Duan Political School is recognized as reaching level 1 standards.

On December 5, Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Le Duan Political School of Quang Tri province as reaching level 1 standards. This is a milestone marking a new development step of the school and a strategic step in training local cadres of Quang Tri in the new period.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended and awarded the certificate. Also attending was Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Phuong.

Reporting at the ceremony, Principal of Le Duan Political School Le Cong Toan said that the school was established under Decision No. 07-QD/TU, dated July 1, 2025 of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on the basis of merging Quang Binh Political School and Le Duan Political School of Quang Tri province (old). On the basis of inheriting the achievements of the two predecessor schools, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee issued Project No. 04-DA/TU, dated August 26, 2025, defining the dual goal for Le Duan Political School as reaching level 1 standards by 2025 and aiming for level 2 standards by 2030.

Adhering to Regulation No. 11-QD/TW, professional and technical guidance of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the direct direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Le Duan Political School has standardized 55/55 criteria to meet standard 1, of which 13 criteria exceed the standard.

Up to now, the school has conducted training and fostering in the following forms: intermediate political theory; training for specialists, senior specialists, department-level leaders and equivalent; training for positions and cadres of organizations, associations, unions; coordinating to open advanced political theory classes at the school....

Scientific research and practical summarization activities have become outstanding strengths, exceeding the standard of level 1 and reaching the standard of level 2 as prescribed. Many research products have been transferred to the provincial agencies, contributing to improving the quality of consulting and planning of policies and strategies of the province.

Congratulating and praising the outstanding achievements of Le Duan Political School of Quang Tri province, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang stated that right after the merger of the two provinces, both schools had not yet met the standards. Today, Le Duan Political School of Quang Tri province has made its mark as the first unit in the merger to receive a level 1 standard recognition certificate, which is a very impressive achievement.

Emphasizing that achieving a level 1 political school standard is difficult, but maintaining, keeping the standard, and moving towards achieving level 2 standards is much more difficult, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics requested the Board of Directors and all cadres, lecturers, and staff of the school not to be subjective or negligent, but to urgently develop a plan for level 2 standards, striving to achieve level 2 standards before 2030.

"It is necessary to clearly define the criteria groups: which criteria are proposed to the province, which criteria are proposed to the Academy, which criteria are internally motivated to be implemented. The school needs to continue to innovate, diversify forms, improve the quality of training and fostering; strengthen discipline and order in studying and teaching, overcome the fear of studying and laziness in studying political theory among a number of cadres, party members and students; strongly apply science and technology, digital transformation; build Le Duan Political School into a digital knowledge center for political theory" - said comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang.

On this occasion, Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Phuong presented congratulatory flowers and emphasized a number of key tasks in training and fostering human resources of Le Duan Political School in the new development period.
