On the side of Thai Nguyen province, there were: Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, leaders of the University of Industrial Technology and generations of lecturers and students.
At the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien awarded the University of Industrial Technology the Second Class Labor Medal and presented gifts to the University of Industrial Technology to Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council Nguyen Nhu Khoa.

60 years of Courage - Intelligence - Dedication
The University of Industrial Technology was established on August 19, 1965, with the original name of Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch in Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Zone - in the midst of fierce war years, where teachers and students built houses and classrooms from thatch, bamboo, reed, and leaves; built schools amidst bombs and bullets but the flame of knowledge never stopped spreading.
Starting in a difficult and heroic period, growing up from the rain of bombs and the steadfastness of many generations of teachers and students of Electromechanics, the School has gone through many memorable stages: Electromechanics University (1966 - 1975); Viet Bac University of Industrial Technology/Thai Nguyen University of Industry (1976 - 1994); and from 1994 to present, the University of Industrial Technology, a core unit of Thai Nguyen University, gradually affirming the prestige of an important technical and technological training center of the region and the whole country.
In the opening speech, Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council of Industrial Technology Nguyen Nhu Khoa affirmed that those 60 years are 60 years of Courage - Intelligence - Dedication, 60 years of Value - Position - Trust.
The Chairman of the School Board said that on that journey, the school was honored to receive many noble awards from the Party and the State, typically: Third-class Independence Medal (2001), Second-class Independence Medal (2005), the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period (2009) and other First-class, Second-class, and Third-class Labor Medals over the periods.
With the Second Class Labor Medal that the school was honored to receive today, Chairman of the School Board Nguyen Nhu Khoa affirmed that this is not only an honor to the past, but also a reminder of responsibility for the future.
Measure quality using product and social impact
Recognizing and congratulating the achievements of the University of Industrial Technology, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong stated that after 60 years of construction and development, from the University of Technology Branch in Thai Nguyen, born in the fierce war situation, with poor facilities, the University of Industrial Technology, Thai Nguyen University has overcome countless difficulties and challenges, always steadfast in its mission of training a team of cadres, scientists and technicians, serving the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
To promote the achievements of 60 years - a very proud journey, marked by the intelligence, dedication, creativity and enthusiasm of many generations of lecturers, staff and students, the Deputy Minister of Education and Training suggested that the school continue to carry out a number of key tasks.
That is, urgently develop Programs, Projects, and plans to implement the Party's Resolutions on education and training, on innovation and science and technology, especially Resolution 57 and Resolution 71 of the Politburo, in accordance with the actual conditions of the School with a practical, effective, and feasible spirit.
The school focuses on the work of discovering, nurturing, training, fostering, and improving the quality of staff, lecturers, and scientists, the decisive factor in the quality of education and training. Maintaining and developing the source of tradition, knowledge, wisdom, and true personality.
At the same time, quickly review, update and innovate training programs in an open direction, focusing on developing learners' qualities and capacities to flexibly adapt to the rapid development of the country and the times.
Promote comprehensive digital transformation in management and training, improve training quality and personalize learning, especially apply artificial intelligence to create wise people, while maintaining discipline, professional ethics, and academic integrity. Strongly develop applied research, transfer, and startups. Take products and social impact as a measure of school quality.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Training emphasized the need to continue to pay attention to and promote further innovation in political and ideological education for students and learners. Create an environment that encourages self-study, self-training and creativity. Turn the training process into a self-training process, arousing the spirit of lifelong learning in the young generation.
Focus on training students to be both red and specialized, proactive, master knowledge, technology, modern professional skills, have strong political will, pure moral qualities, sense of responsibility to the community, aspiration to contribute, foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, dare to think, dare to do, know how to do and do effectively, ready to take on difficult and new tasks and continue to enhance the spirit of serving the Fatherland.
Continuing the 60-year tradition, the Deputy Minister of Education and Training believes that the University of Industrial Technology, Thai Nguyen University will continue to reap successes and breakthroughs in the new period, making an important contribution to deciding the future and destiny of the nation.
