The report on the expected program and content of the Tenth Session presented by Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien stated that the Tenth Session will hold a preparatory session, opening on the morning of October 20 and is expected to close on December 11, 2025 at the National Assembly House, Hanoi. The working time of the Session is expected to be 40 days. This is a Session with many important contents, the National Assembly has just carried out the contents of the regular session; at the same time, summarizing the term of the XV.
“The preparations for the Tenth Session were carried out very carefully. The National Assembly Standing Committee spent a lot of time giving opinions on the contents of the Session, organized a conference of full-time National Assembly deputies to discuss the contents submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval. The National Assembly Office strengthened its direction, proactively coordinated with relevant agencies, actively implemented, reviewed, and improved to further improve the quality of service for the Session.”
Affirming the careful preparation for the session, the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office also said that at this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents (49 draft laws, 4 resolutions on legislative work; 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues).
Regarding legislative work, the National Assembly will consider and pass 49 laws and 4 resolutions on legislative work. “This is the session with the largest number of legislative contents since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term,” said the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office.
Regarding the consideration and decision on important national issues, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues. Accordingly, it will consider and decide on socio-economic issues, state budget; consider and approve the National Assembly's Resolution on the results of thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect".
The National Assembly will also review and discuss the summary report on the implementation of the Government members, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Auditor General on the Resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning; discuss the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly; review the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of: the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit. Review and approve the Resolution on summarizing the work of the 2021-2026 term. In addition, the National Assembly will review and decide on many other important contents.
Affirming that "this is the Session with the largest volume of work ever; reviewing and deciding on the most legislative content compared to all Sessions since the beginning of the term; summarizing the term of the 15th National Assembly", Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Van Hien said that the National Assembly Office requested press agencies to continue to focus on promoting improvements and innovations in the way the session is conducted, contributing to the successful organization of the 10th Session.
Specifically, according to the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, at this session, the time for presenting reports will be shortened; a number of reports will be presented in an integrated manner; the National Assembly will be arranged to listen to presentations, reports and discuss in groups in the Groups and Halls for a number of draft laws, resolutions and reports on the same field.

In addition, although no question and answer sessions will be held, the National Assembly will also change the way it supervises the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning in the following form: The Government and agencies will send full reports; National Assembly deputies will send written questions for the questioned to answer continuously from now until the Tenth Session. And, at the Session, the National Assembly will synthesize the reports and arrange for the National Assembly to meet in one session on this content.
