Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh attended the meeting to summarize the activities of the Committee on Law and Justice of the 15th National Assembly term.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh acknowledged that during the 15th National Assembly term, the activities of the Committee on Law and Justice have had many improvements and innovations, contributing positively to the overall success of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee, which have been highly appreciated by the National Assembly leaders, compatriots, voters and people nationwide. In particular, there have been great efforts by the members of the Committee, and the delegates have always actively participated in giving opinions at the Committee's meetings, meetings in the Hall and group meetings.

Reviewing the Committee's activities during the past term, Chairman of the Committee on Law and Justice Hoang Thanh Tung stated that the first days of the term were a very tense period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Committee on Law and Justice advised on the drafting of Resolution No. 30/2021/QH15 of the National Assembly - the resolution of the First Session of the 15th National Assembly with many breakthrough and unprecedented solutions to help the country overcome the pandemic and restore economic development.

Overview of the summary meeting

The Law and Justice Committee is also the core agency in advising the National Assembly Party Delegation to develop many projects to submit to the Politburo at the beginning of the term. Notably, in 2025, the Committee will be the standing agency to help the Drafting Committee amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution in a timely, methodical and scientific manner.

Chairman of the Committee Hoang Thanh Tung said that by the end of the 10th Session, the Committee is expected to preside over the National Assembly's approval of 39 out of 150 laws of the 15th National Assembly term, accounting for 26%; 19/48 legal resolutions of the National Assembly; 7/10 ordinances; 52/110 legal resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh awarded certificates of merit from the National Assembly Standing Committee to individuals who are National Assembly deputies working part-time at the Committee on Law and Justice.

Also during this term, the Committee held 58 plenary sessions; members also participated in the meetings very actively, contributing many constructive and responsible opinions.
