HTV's "One Heart" Fund and People's Artist Kim Cuong presented Tet gifts to the HCM City Artists' Association.

Quỹ — Representatives of HTV's "One Heart" fund presented 55 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Benevolent Association.

On the morning of December 1st, at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, representing the Finance Department of Ho Chi Minh City Television, together with People's Artist Kim Cuong, presented a donation of 55 million VND to the Artists' Benevolent Association of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association and director Ton That Can - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association - represented the Artists' Benevolent Association in receiving the donation.

People's Artist Kim Cương said that this was a gesture of kindness from HTV, in conjunction with the 10th "Artists' Appreciation" program, to give Tet gifts to impoverished artists.

"During the Diamond Women's Awards ceremony organized by HTV on the evening of January 28th at the HTV Theater, Mr. Cao Anh Minh - General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station - presented lucky money envelopes to 10 artists representing various fields: music and dance, Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera), Hat Boi (Vietnamese classical theater), circus, magic, and musicians and writers..."

Today, the "One Heart" Fund continues to extend its love and support to the artists of the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Benevolent Association. The list of 120 artists and stage workers that I have was also provided by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association.

Every year, the Artists' Benevolent Association organizes Tet gift-giving for impoverished artists, and monthly they also send money, rice, and medicine to artists in difficult circumstances. The year-end gift from the "One Heart" Fund is very meaningful and spreads the love and compassion of HTV and philanthropists to artists in Ho Chi Minh City," shared People's Artist Kim Cuong.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi added that on January 30th, the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Benevolent Association donated 300 gifts to artists and stage workers at the Artists' Retirement Home. "With this additional money, the Benevolent Association will be able to continue caring for the lives of poor and sick artists. Thank you for the kindness of People's Artist Kim Cuong and the HTV 'One Heart' Fund for accompanying the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association," said People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi.

As for People's Artist Kim Cương, after being honored at the performance, she expressed her gratitude to the HTV arts and culture department for their heartfelt support, which ensured the performance achieved high artistic quality and spread humanistic values to a wide audience.

Each artist received a gift and an envelope containing 10 million VND from the 10th "Artists' Appreciation" program. Many artists, facing economic hardship, broke down in tears, surprised by the amount, which was higher than in previous years. Actor Phan Van Sang, famous for his role in the film "Birds Released into the Wild," said: "Thanks to the money donated by Ms. Kim Cuong, I was able to buy medicine to treat my injuries from a traffic accident. Thank you very much, Ms. Kim Cuong."

Artist Kieu Oanh (from the Southern Hương Troupe), retired 30 years ago, used to make a living selling soft drinks from a cart in District 1. However, due to serious illness, she has been out of work for the past two years, and her son works as a motorbike taxi driver to support her. "I held the 10 million dong and couldn't believe my eyes. For me, it's a large sum of money for a meaningful Tet holiday thanks to Ms. Kim Cuong," she said, then burst into tears.

Artist Kieu Phuong Loan said: "When the year ends, hearing that my older sister Kim Cuong is giving out Tet gifts makes me feel like spring has arrived early for the artists of the city."
