Quarter I/2025: Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs collects 70% more state budget revenue than the same period in 2024

In 2025, Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs is assigned to collect VND 2,510 billion in state budget revenue. In the first quarter of 2025, the unit collected over VND 451 billion in state budget revenue (73% of the collection scenario, an increase of 70% compared to the same period in 2024 and 18% of the assigned target).

Implementing the task of collecting the State budget in 2025, on the basis of closely following the direction of all levels, especially the Customs Department and the Customs Branch of Region VIII, Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs has focused on synchronously implementing groups of solutions to increase revenue, prevent revenue loss through import-export management activities, and prevent new debt from arising. At the same time, a working group was established to meet and exchange directly with 7 enterprises with large budget revenues in 2024; organize trade promotion activities, attract enterprises to carry out customs procedures through the area; maintain effective implementation of measures to prevent revenue loss through reviewing the classification of codes, tax rates, values, C/O, cases of tax exemption, reduction, refund, import declarations by type of processing, export production, import declarations of machinery and equipment, etc.

Accordingly, Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs has attracted 1,350 enterprises to carry out customs procedures (an increase of 338 enterprises compared to the same period in 2024), including 139 new enterprises (an increase of 49 enterprises compared to the same period in 2024).

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions to increase revenue, prevent state budget losses, and support businesses, in the first quarter of 2025, the revenue collected by Mong Cai International Border Gate Customs reached over VND 451 billion (73% of the revenue scenario, up 70% compared to the same period in 2024 and reaching 18% of the assigned target in 2025). This is also the driving force for the unit to excellently complete the assigned tasks in 2025.
