On September 11th, in An Khe ward, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, in coordination with the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa" Club, held an inauguration and handover ceremony for a house of gratitude to a family of a soldier in Coast Guard Region 2.

This is a house built with 80 million VND in funding from the Kim Oanh Charity Fund, part of the Kim Oanh Group, for Major Nguyen Quang Thiet – Assistant to the Command Center, Staff Department, Coast Guard Region 2 Command.
Attending the inauguration and handover of the House of Compassion were Ms. Truong My Hoa – former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and Head of the "For the Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa" Club; Colonel Tran Hong Que – Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2; and Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh – President of Kim Oanh Group and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Kim Oanh Charity Fund.
Ms. Truong My Hoa and Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh presented a small gift to congratulate Major Thiet's family on their new home.
With this funding, Major Nguyen Quang Thiet is confident in repairing and upgrading his house to make it more spacious, comfortable, and resistant to the harsh climate and weather of the Central region. This is a great source of motivation for Major Thiet to work with peace of mind, dedicating himself day and night to protecting the peace of the Fatherland.
Scholarships were awarded to students in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province.
After handing over the house built out of gratitude to the soldier, the delegation from the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and representatives from the Kim Oanh Charity Fund continued to Quang Nam to attend and award scholarships to 10 disadvantaged students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in Thang Binh district.
Earlier, on September 9th, the Kim Oanh Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, organized a pilgrimage to visit the historical site of Con Dao, offering incense at Hang Duong Cemetery in Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
60 scholarships were awarded to underprivileged but academically优秀 students in Con Dao district, and 20 scholarships were given to the children of officers and soldiers.
In Con Dao, the Kim Oanh Charity Fund and the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund awarded 80 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND, along with gifts such as helmets and some school supplies) to underprivileged students who excelled academically; and children of officers and soldiers of Radar Station 590, belonging to Regiment 251, Region 2 of the Navy. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to several former political prisoners living in Con Dao.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, a member of the Board of Directors of Kim Oanh Group, presented scholarships to the students.
The "Nurturing Future Generations" project, under the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, is currently sponsoring and supporting two students from Con Dao district who are studying at universities on the mainland. Kim Oanh Group has been a long-term partner of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund for over 10 years, awarding thousands of scholarships to children of ethnic minorities and children of officers and soldiers in coastal and island areas across the country.
