Launching book on building a socialist rule-of-law state

(To Quoc) - On November 8th, in Hanoi, the Central Internal Affairs Committee, in coordination with the National Political Publishing House, held a ceremony to launch the book "Continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam".

Speaking at the book launch ceremony, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Thanh Hai said that on November 9, 2022, the Central Committee issued Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW "Continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam in the new period," which assigned the Central Internal Affairs Commission to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to regularly urge, guide, inspect, and supervise the implementation of the Resolution, periodically conduct preliminary and final reviews, and report to the Politburo and the Secretariat.

In Plan No. 11-KH/TW, dated November 28, 2022, the Politburo on implementing Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW also assigned Party committees and organizations at all levels to focus on leading and directing the promotion of propaganda, dissemination, and education to raise awareness among cadres, Party members, and the people about the Constitution and laws, about the socialist rule of law in Vietnam, and the requirement to continue building and perfecting the socialist rule of law in Vietnam in the new period.

"To implement Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW and Plan No. 11-KH/TW, the Central Internal Affairs Commission issued Plan No. 139-KH/BNCTW, dated June 26, 2023, on compiling and publishing the book "Continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam in the new period ." "This aims to contribute to the dissemination and popularization of information, helping cadres, Party members, and the people understand the basic issues of the socialist rule of law in Vietnam. From there, we can correctly and effectively implement the viewpoints, objectives, priorities, tasks, and solutions for continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law in Vietnam in the new period, in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies," the Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission affirmed.

The process of compiling this book always received the direct and close attention and guidance of Politburo member, Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Đình Trạc, and the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

The compilation of this book was carried out meticulously, carefully, and thoroughly, ensuring adherence to the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, and the provisions of the 2013 Constitution on building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam.

This book synthesizes and systematizes fundamental theoretical issues concerning the rule of law, analyzes the practical aspects of building and perfecting the socialist rule of law in Vietnam; in particular, it synthesizes the research results of the project "Continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law in Vietnam in the new period" and 27 in-depth research topics on the socialist rule of law in Vietnam from major agencies, organizations, and research institutions nationwide.

The book "Continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law state of Vietnam" was launched on Vietnam Law Day (November 9, 2024).

The book has 480 pages, divided into 3 chapters: Fundamental theoretical issues concerning the rule of law and the socialist rule of law in Vietnam; the practice of building and perfecting the socialist rule of law in Vietnam; and continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule of law in Vietnam in the new period.

Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam emphasized.
