According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by December 4, the entire city of Hai Phong had harvested more than 7,000 hectares of winter vegetables, reaching nearly 30% of the planted area (26,500 hectares).

The early winter vegetable fields have been harvested and sold very well, with selling prices 25-40% higher than the same period last year, making farmers excited.

Some key crops such as early kohlrabi have been harvested, selling price is 9 - 10,000 VND/kg, bringing in income of about 8 - 10 million VND/sao, after deducting costs, profit is 6 - 8 million VND/sao; early cabbage area is being harvested, selling price is about 9 - 10,000 VND/kg, bringing in profit of 7 - 9 million VND/sao; cauliflower is sold for 8 - 12,000 VND/head, profit is 6 - 8 million VND/sao...

Currently, the winter planting season is still available, very favorable for the planting and growth of cold-loving plants, especially leafy vegetables.
Localities are actively advising people to expand the planting area of cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower, potatoes... on the land areas of two rice crops to supply the market due to some provinces and cities affected by natural disasters and to ensure supply for the market for the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet. Expanding specialized vegetable production areas is associated with product consumption; promoting safe vegetable production according to VietGAP, organic production.
