Rowing won 2 consecutive bronze medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation on the morning of September 25

On the morning of September 25, the Vietnamese Rowing team entered the finals of the 4 women's heavyweight 2-oar category with Bui Thi Thu Hien, Luong Thi Thao, Nguyen Thi Giang and Pham Thi Thao.

Vietnamese athletes won bronze medals in the 4 women's heavyweight 2 oars category of Rowing.

The Vietnamese female rowers started very well when they were continuously in the group competing for medals.

At one point, Pham Thi Thao and her teammates rose to second place in the race.

But then, the Vietnamese team was overtaken by both Iran and Indonesia and fell to fourth place.

However, in the last 50m, the Vietnamese girls surpassed Indonesia with a time of 6 minutes 42 seconds 84, thereby winning the bronze medal.

While China won the gold medal with 6 minutes 42 seconds 84, Iran came in second with a time of 6 minutes 51 seconds 82.

Behind Vietnam are Indonesia (6 minutes 56 seconds 50) and Kazakhstan (7 minutes 07 seconds 50).

The Vietnamese rowing team is a succession of young athletes (3 athletes) and veteran athletes (1 athlete).

The youngest athlete is Bui Thi Thu Hien, born in 2002, and the oldest athlete is Pham Thao, born in 1989.

This is also the first time Thu Hien and Nguyen Thi Giang participate in ASIAD and win medals.

In the final of the women's 8-race event that took place immediately afterwards, athletes Dinh Thi Hao, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui, Ho Thi Ly, Le Thi Hien, Nguyen Lam Kieu Diem, Pham Thi Ngoc Anh and Tran Thi Kiet brought home the bronze medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation with a time of 6 minutes 48 seconds 21.

Meanwhile, China and Japan ranked right above with 6 minutes 33 seconds 61 and 6 minutes 44 seconds 15 respectively.

On the same morning, in the men's heavyweight double rowing event, Vietnam entered the final with four rowers Bui Van Hoang, Nguyen Van Ha, Nguyen Van Hieu, and Nhu Dinh Nam.

As a result, we only finished 5th/6 with a time of 6 minutes 22 seconds 22. China won the gold medal with a time of 6 minutes 02 seconds 65, Uzbekistan won the silver medal (6 minutes 04 seconds 64), and India finished 3rd (6 minutes 08 seconds 61).
