Not long after withdrawing, the wife of tycoon Dang Van Thanh is running for the Board of Directors of a sugar company again.

TTC AgriS has just announced the list of candidates for the new term of its Board of Directors. The list includes Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc, who stepped down as chairwoman of the company's Board of Directors in July of this year.

According to the attached resume, Ms. Ngoc was born in 1962 and is from Ben Tre province. From 2019 to the present, Ms. Ngoc has served as Vice President and General Director of TTC Group, where her husband, Mr. Dang Van Thanh, is the Chairman.

Ms. Ngoc also served as the chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS from 2019 to 2024. After that, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My – Ms. Ngoc and Mr. Thanh's daughter – took over.

Before stepping down as chairwoman of the largest sugar company in the industry, Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc also resigned from her position as chairwoman of TTC Land - a real estate company within the TTC Group ecosystem.

According to the corporate governance report for the first six months of 2024, Ms. Ngoc personally owns 9.089% of TTC AgriS's capital. Meanwhile, Ms. My holds nearly 145 million shares, equivalent to 19.02% of the charter capital.

At this company, Mr. Truong Hong Quan - Ms. My's husband - does not own any shares.

Similarly, Mr. Dang Van Thanh - Ms. My's father - and Mr. Dang Hong Anh - Ms. My's brother - do not hold any shares.

Besides Ms. Ngoc, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngu will also be among the candidates for the Board of Directors in the upcoming by-election. The election of these two candidates will take place at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, scheduled to be held on October 24th in Tay Ninh .

In a related development concerning personnel matters, TTC AgriS also recently reappointed its chief accountant, Ms. Dang Thi Diem Trinh, effective October 1st.

According to Vietnam Report's 2023 ranking, TTC AgriS is the largest enterprise in Vietnam in the field of sugar production, processing, and trading.

The financial report also shows that the company's total assets as of the end of June 2024 reached VND 34,077 billion, liabilities amounted to VND 22,901 billion, and equity was VND 11,176 billion.
