In the overall growth, the processing industry generated the largest added value for the industrial sector, with an estimated production value of VND 8,092.6 billion, an increase of 11.2% compared to the same period last year. During the year, several products (sugar, cassava starch, jelly, dolls, bird's nest drink, towels, ready-made clothing) saw higher production volumes compared to the same period last year due to increased market demand and abundant raw materials.
The above results were achieved thanks to the contributions of the Department of Industry and Trade in organizing meetings with 12 mining, processing, and export-oriented industrial enterprises to understand their difficulties and obstacles, thereby proposing solutions to overcome them, increase production, and seek new markets. Notably, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with Saigon Beer Ninh Thuan Co., Ltd. to organize a program to introduce Saigon Beer products produced in Ninh Thuan and tour the production line at the factory. These positive actions helped the company increase its beer production to 50-70 million liters/year. In addition, the department reviewed and identified the difficulties and obstacles of products experiencing significant declines, advising the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to overcome them, while also urging and monitoring investment projects to accelerate completion to create new capacity and value.

Electricity production and distribution also experienced strong growth, estimated at VND 6,602.8 billion, a 14.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This achievement is thanks to the Provincial People's Committee directing relevant agencies and localities to resolve difficulties and obstacles for renewable energy projects. Following the Provincial People's Committee's directive, the Department of Industry and Trade reviewed and reported on the current status, existing problems, obstacles, and development orientation of the energy sector, advising the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for updating and supplementing energy projects, transmission lines, and transmission infrastructure into the implementation plan of the Power Development Plan VIII. This provides a basis for attracting investment, implementing investment, and putting some new projects into commercial operation. In addition, the department has registered to work with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Electricity Group to resolve some outstanding issues at the Phuoc Thai 2 and 3 solar power projects; and to conduct acceptance testing and put the Trung Nam - Thuan Bac solar power plant into operation.
In 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade aims for an industrial production value of VND 18,680.3 billion, an increase of approximately 16-17% compared to the same period in 2024. To achieve this goal, the Department will focus on supporting and accelerating the implementation of renewable energy projects approved in the Power Development Plan VIII; key projects such as the Bac Ai pumped-storage hydropower plant, the Phuoc Hoa pumped-storage hydropower plant, and the Ca Na LNG gas power plant. It will also coordinate the implementation of regulations on pricing frameworks and bidding mechanisms for renewable energy projects; and propose that central ministries and agencies prioritize capital allocation for the construction of 500kV and 220kV power transmission infrastructure to alleviate power generation capacity constraints in the province.
With a high sense of responsibility, the Department of Industry and Trade focuses on advising on solutions for industrial development; urging the completion of technical infrastructure in industrial clusters to attract secondary investment projects and increase occupancy rates; promptly supporting contractors in overcoming difficulties and accelerating the completion of processing and manufacturing industrial projects in 2025 to create new capacity and new products. It also monitors production and business conditions, market fluctuations, and influencing factors to promptly propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for businesses to develop and contributing to economic growth.
