A 4km long sea bridge will be built connecting Cam Ranh airport with South Khanh Hoa.

Khanh Hoa will invest in a coastal route connecting Cam Ranh airport to the South Khanh Hoa area (old Ninh Thuan) with a total length of about 25km, including a 4km long sea bridge. This route, when completed, will open up new development space for the locality.

On the afternoon of October 24th, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, led a working group to survey and inspect the area where the coastal road project connecting Cam Ranh airport to key economic zones in the southern part of the province (formerly Ninh Thuan ) is planned to be invested in.

According to a report by the Khanh Hoa Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the project has a total length of 25km, including 4km of sea bridge and 21km of road. The section passing through the 4th Naval Region is approximately 10km long.

According to the proposal, the route will have a roadbed width of 20.5 - 27m, a bridge cross-section of approximately 27m with 6 lanes, and a clearance height of 37m for navigation, ensuring connectivity between waterway and road transport.

The total investment for the project is approximately 10,000 billion VND from central and local government budgets. This includes 2,300 billion VND for the road section, 7,500 billion VND for the bridge section, and 200 billion VND for land acquisition costs.

According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, once completed, the road will seamlessly connect the existing coastal transportation system, from Cam Ranh airport to key tourist areas and economic zones in the southern part of Khanh Hoa province.

Contributing to strengthening the capacity to respond to natural disasters, climate change, and ensuring national defense and security in coastal areas.

The project is expected to be implemented in Cong Hai commune, Nam Cam Ranh commune, and Bac Cam Ranh ward.

During the meeting, Mr. Toan emphasized that this is a key project for the province in the coming period, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

At the same time, we request that the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board continue to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to review and advise the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the next steps in the coming period.
