On September 15, Hoa Sen University announced that the short film "How a pandemic ends" by two female students majoring in media technology management, Dang Thuy Trang and Nguyen Le Uyen Thu, won the Special Mention award at CinemaSHORT Asia 2025.
This is an annual Asian short film festival organized by CinemaWorld (Singapore), gathering 699 projects from 25 countries and territories. "How a Pandemic Ends" is the only representative of Vietnam to be honored at this film festival.
In addition, "How a Pandemic Ends" was also one of 31 works selected for the award at EOS 2025 (End of Semester Screening) - the annual final film screening of the media technology management industry, taking place on the evening of September 14. After the screening, the group continued to "win" the award for the short film with the most creative idea.
The best film award of EOS 2025 belongs to the short film "I got a haircut at midnight" by student Nguyen Anh Thach.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen, representative of the producer, the works participating in the final screening this year are very diverse in genre, topic, and are beautifully and meticulously filmed. In particular, the short film genre this year made a strong impression on the judges.
Since 2015, EOS has attracted 4,000 students to participate with more than 700 works in many genres being screened.

Of which, the total number of works submitted to EOS 2025 is 60 works with 5 genres including: Documentary, short film, TVC, MV, TV show.
