5G smartphones drop in price at the end of the year, only from 3 million VND

Over a month ago, mobile network operators in Vietnam began rolling out and offering 5G trials in many areas, and nationwide coverage is expected in the near future.

Theoretically, 5G networks are 10 to 100 times faster than 4G networks, and initial user experiences show the impressive speed of this next-generation network technology.

To experience high-speed 5G network technology, users need to own devices that support 5G networks.

Previously, this feature was only available on high-end and mid-range devices, but now there are products distributed by dealers with prices as low as just over 3 million VND.

Samsung A16 5G 8/128GB - 5.2 million VND

The Galaxy A16 5G boasts a valuable feature: a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

With AMOLED technology, it delivers vibrant colors and high contrast, providing a smooth movie-watching and gaming experience even in indoor lighting conditions.

This Samsung phone features a triple rear camera system including a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The ultra-wide-angle camera is a major plus, especially since many smartphones in the same segment lack this feature.

The Galaxy A16 5G is equipped with MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 chipset and 8GB of RAM, capable of handling common tasks such as web browsing, watching movies, or light multitasking.

The 5,000mAh battery of the Galaxy A16 5G provides good battery life. With basic tasks like web browsing and social media use, the phone can last all day without needing to be charged. It also comes equipped with a Type-C port with 25W charging power.

Vivo V29e 5G - 5.2 million VND

Similar to other Chinese phone brands in the same segment, this phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a high brightness of 1,200 nits, providing clear visibility even in sunlight.

Inside is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 chip, boasting the cheapest 12GB of RAM currently on the market, coupled with 256GB of storage.

The back of the device features a dual camera setup, with a 64-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera.

In terms of capacity, although comparable products boast batteries of 5,000mAh, these phones only have a 4,800mAh battery, which is quite modest by today's standards. The device also supports 44W fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their phones.

Currently, the phone is being sold at a minimum price of 6.2 million VND, however, some retailers offer a trade-in program that reduces the price to just 5.2 million VND.

Honor 90 Lite 5G - 4.2 million VND

For just over 4 million VND, users can own a smartphone with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The product features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display.

The main camera section is a highlight, boasting a resolution of up to 100 megapixels, along with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera.

The Honor 90 Lite is equipped with a Dimensity 6020 5G processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. Its specifications are significantly better than competitors that mainly use older generation chips like the Helio G99 or G85, which offer 4G connectivity and 128 GB of internal storage.

The drawback of this smartphone is its rather modest battery capacity of only 4,500mAh. It also only comes with a 22.5W fast charger.

Xiaomi POCO M6 - 3.25 million VND

The POCO M6 features a glass back and a squared-off frame, following current trends, while the back panel is made of plastic.

The device boasts a large 6.79-inch screen, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a selfie camera that has been upgraded to a "punch-hole" design instead of the teardrop notch of its predecessor. The large screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels.

Additionally, this phone's screen uses an IPS LCD panel, offering fairly wide viewing angles. However, despite these notable specifications, the device doesn't deliver the vibrant colors of AMOLED screens, and the screen brightness isn't high, affecting the user experience when outdoors.

This Xiaomi phone boasts impressive performance, equipped with a Helio G91 Ultra chip built on a 12nm process, a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Hyper OS based on Android 14.

It features a dual camera system with a flash uniquely arranged in a triangle. The phone is equipped with a main camera boasting a resolution of up to 108MP, higher than the 50MP camera on the POCO M5.

Equipped with a 5,030mAh battery, the device comes with a 33W fast charger.
