In 2024, the transportation sector successfully completed its assigned political tasks; the sector's plans, programs, and assigned tasks were concretized and implemented seriously and effectively; allocated funds were disbursed promptly and met requirements. The Department of Transportation promptly implemented and strictly maintained the policies and directives of the Government, the Ministry of Transport , and the Provincial People's Committee.
Overview of the conference.
The dissemination and education of traffic safety laws have been intensified, and coordination among functional agencies to resolve and handle cases related to violations of road, rail, and inland waterway traffic safety regulations has been consistently maintained. Inspection, patrol, and control activities have been emphasized. Maintenance and repair of transportation infrastructure, addressing accident black spots and potential accident locations, and the installation, repair, and supplementation of missing or damaged traffic signs on provincial roads have also been promptly reviewed, rectified, and addressed to ensure safe travel for the public during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
Leaders of the Department of Transport awarded emulation titles to transport sector units that achieved outstanding results in 2024.
In 2025, the transport sector will continue to focus on effectively carrying out tasks related to the maintenance of transport infrastructure; supporting businesses and contractors in overcoming difficulties and accelerating the progress of transport projects, completing and putting projects into use; managing transport, vehicles and drivers; conducting transport inspections, and ensuring traffic safety and order. It will also effectively implement the inspection of road motor vehicles; and promote administrative reform and digital transformation in the transport sector.
