The Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Province has issued a fine to the driver of a tractor-trailer truck for obstructing a priority vehicle on duty on National Highway 2.

Accordingly, at about 3:40 p.m. on February 6, at Km 170+200 of National Highway 2 (Tuyen Quang province), a tractor with license plate 89E-003.XX, pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 89R-013.XX, was moving in the direction from Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang .

During the trip, when the driver encountered a working group of the Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Province Police who were on duty leading a delegation of Party and State leaders traveling from Ha Giang to Tuyen Quang, he acted in an obstructive and dangerous manner to the priority convoy.

The Traffic Police Department quickly verified that the driver was Vuong Dinh G (born in 1987, residing in Hung Yen province) and invited him to come in for questioning.

The driver admitted that while driving on the road, he encountered a convoy of three traffic police cars that were signaling priority ahead. However, Mr. G. did not slow down or stop even though the road was curved and slippery due to the rain, so when he braked suddenly, the truck's body was thrown and slid onto the road of the convoy of priority vehicles.

Video recorded driver Vuong Dinh G obstructing a priority vehicle.

The Traffic Police Department of Tuyen Quang Province has drawn up a report against Mr. G for the act of: "Obstruction of a priority vehicle sending out a priority signal on duty".

For this error, driver G will be fined from 6 to 8 million VND and have 4 points deducted from his driver's license.
