On the morning of September 5th, during the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 academic year and the 80th anniversary of the Education sector's tradition, Tay Nguyen Polytechnic College awarded new student Nguyen Van Thien a full scholarship worth 39 million VND.

After the opening ceremony, Nguyen Van Thien (born in 2007), a student majoring in Information Technology, was provided with free dormitory accommodation by the school to facilitate his studies and daily life.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh , Principal of Tay Nguyen Polytechnic College, said that after learning about Thien's story through the media, the school contacted his family to provide career guidance suitable to his physical condition and abilities. Subsequently, the school decided to award Thien a full scholarship and committed to providing maximum support throughout his studies.

Deeply moved by this thoughtful gesture, new student Nguyen Van Thien expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the school's leadership.

Thien shared that he used to think that, given his health and physical condition, he should stay at home with his parents. However, thanks to the encouragement of Teacher Binh and everyone else, he changed his mind.

"I am extremely happy to receive this special scholarship. This is a motivation for me to overcome difficulties and strive in my studies so as not to disappoint my parents, teachers, and friends," Nguyen Van Thien expressed.

Nguyen Van Thien was born into a near-poor farming family in Cu Kty commune, Krong Bong district (formerly). Thien is 1.25m tall, weighs less than 30kg, achieved excellent academic results in 12th grade at Krong Bong High School, and passed the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
