Strengthening international cooperation to promote the development of Vietnam's stock market by 2025

Through international cooperation activities in 2025, the State Securities Commission continues to demonstrate its determination for comprehensive integration.

Based on the orientation of the Ministry of Finance and the requirements of market development in the new period, the State Securities Commission actively maintains close cooperation with international organizations such as the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the French Development Agency (AFD), and many securities market management agencies in the region....

Through dialogue mechanisms, technical workshops and bilateral technical assistance programs, the State Securities Commission has additional important resources to update international standards, enhance supervision capacity, risk management and market transparency.

On November 11, 2025, in Melbourne (Australia), Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission Vu Thi Chan Phuong met and worked with Mr. Joseph Longo, Chairwoman of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). According to Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission Vu Thi Chan Phuong, this is an activity within the framework of the working program of the Commission's delegation in Australia to attend the ASIC Annual Conference 2025 - "Australia in a dynamic world " to discuss topics such as the future of capital markets, digital technology, reducing administrative procedures and ASIC's enforcement priorities. Through the cooperation activities in the past time, it has practical significance for the development of the Vietnamese stock market.

In 2025, many international delegations worked with the State Securities Commission on key issues such as developing green capital markets, supervising financial technology (Fintech), enhancing the safety of the trading system, building sustainable reporting standards, and promoting corporate governance according to international good practices. The cooperation programs were highly appreciated for their practicality, suitability with the market upgrading process and deep integration requirements.

Within the framework of regional cooperation, the State Securities Commission maintains information exchange with ASEAN securities regulators, participates in developing joint initiatives on market connectivity, promoting new financial products and enhancing cross-border supervision standards. The State Securities Commission also actively participates in IOSCO working groups, providing comments and updating international standards to enhance the transparency and resilience of the market system.

At the same time, cooperation in the field of digital transformation and information technology security continues to be promoted. The State Securities Commission coordinates with international partners to research the application of technology in transaction monitoring, data security assurance, system risk management, and support the Stock Exchange and the Depository Center to deploy solutions in line with global trends.
