Strengthen inspection and strictly handle buses that speed, recklessly overtake, and force each other to compete for passengers.

On the afternoon of July 12, according to information from the Traffic Police Department of Tay Ninh Province, the authorities have reviewed and verified the incident in which two buses operating on the Cho Lon - Thanh Vinh Dong and Long An - Cho Lon routes chased and forced each other on the road, in which one bus was thrown onto the sidewalk as reported by the press.

These two buses travel along several routes in Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh province. Verification confirms that the incident of forcing the bus onto the sidewalk occurred in Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon verification, the incident involving the two buses chasing and forcing each other off the road occurred on routes between Tay Ninh province and Ho Chi Minh City. However, the specific incident of forced collision shown in the video was determined to have taken place in Ho Chi Minh City.

However, since these two buses belong to a passenger transport cooperative and operate within Tay Ninh province, the provincial authorities will work with the cooperative, reminding and requiring the transport operator and drivers to comply with traffic safety laws.

According to information from the authorities of the former Long An province, in previous years they also received complaints about buses speeding and recklessly overtaking on National Highway 1 in the area to compete for passengers.

Accordingly, traffic police have intensified patrols and inspections on routes where buses operate and are strictly handling cases of passenger transport drivers speeding, reckless overtaking, competing for passengers, and parking illegally.

In addition, the application of technology, especially cameras, to record and handle traffic safety violations has created positive changes; violations such as reckless overtaking and illegal parking to compete for passengers by transport vehicles are detected less frequently than in previous years.

To ensure traffic safety and order, the Traffic Police force of Tay Ninh Provincial Police will continue to strengthen patrols and inspections on traffic routes, especially key routes. Through this, they will resolutely and strictly handle violations.

As reported on the afternoon of July 12th, on July 8th, on a busy road with many people and vehicles, two blue buses were traveling in the same direction. One bus, operating on the Cho Lon – Thanh Vinh Dong route, had license plate 62G-00531, and the other, operating on the Long An - Cho Lon route, had license plate 51B-26984. While moving and stopping to pick up passengers, one bus overtook another vehicle and forced it onto the sidewalk.

A window on the bus was broken.

According to photos taken by bystanders, during the collision, the two buses hit each other on the side and came to a stop. At the scene, the bus operating on the Cho Lon – Thanh Vinh Dong route with license plate 62G-00531 remained on the road near the curb, while the bus operating on the Long An - Cho Lon route with license plate 51B-26984 was forced onto the sidewalk. One of the buses' windows was broken.

The incident of forcing the car to stop caused panic among the passengers on board and passersby. Based on the recorded video, people are outraged by this blatant disregard for the law and the lives of others, and hope that the authorities will investigate and take strict action.

According to passenger feedback, the practice of forcing vehicles to stop in front of other vehicles stems from a competition to pick up more passengers.
