On the morning of November 29, the National Assembly held its closing session under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. At the closing session, the National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution on continuing to implement a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly and from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th Session on thematic supervision and questioning.
After listening to the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong present the Report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Resolution, the National Assembly voted to pass the resolution electronically.
The electronic voting results showed that 474 National Assembly deputies participated in the vote in favor (accounting for 95.95%). With the majority of National Assembly deputies participating in the vote in favor, the National Assembly officially passed the Resolution on continuing to implement a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly and from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th Session on thematic supervision and questioning.
In the Resolution on continuing to implement a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly and from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th Session on thematic supervision and questioning, it is stated that the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions has been seriously and responsibly implemented by agencies, with many synchronous solutions, creating positive changes and achieving specific results in most areas, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of annual socio-economic development tasks, goals and targets according to the National Assembly's resolutions.
Regarding the field of natural resources and environment, the Resolution clearly states that in 2024, complete the approval of the Master Plan for sustainable exploitation and use of coastal resources for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the National Environmental Protection Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the National Biodiversity Conservation Master Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; promulgate national environmental standards and regulations on sea encroachment activities.
Implement measures to classify waste at source, treat waste, increase reuse, recycling, reduce landfill waste; strictly and effectively implement the Law on Environmental Protection. Urgently issue a set of technical and economic norms on classifying waste at source, collecting, transporting, and treating household waste. Improve the effectiveness of environmental monitoring activities; propose policies and prioritized resources, develop and implement plans to handle environmental pollution, especially waste, wastewater, and pollution in craft villages, industrial parks and clusters, river basins, irrigation systems, etc. Closely inspect, monitor, and strictly handle illegal mineral exploitation. Enhance the ability to forecast and warn about natural disasters; deploy engineering and non-engineering measures to effectively prevent and combat subsidence and landslides.
Strengthen effective management of land originating from state-owned farms and forestry farms; resolve the shortage of production land and residential land for ethnic minorities. Strive to complete the construction of a national land information system and a land database according to unified standards nationwide linked to the population database by 2025.
