Speed up construction of industrial parks, ready to welcome big investors

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan inspected the progress of the Phu Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction Project.

During the field inspection at the projects: Phu Binh Industrial Park, Yen Binh 2 and Yen Binh 3, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor, local authorities and specialized sectors to report specifically on the progress, difficulties encountered and propose solutions.

Phu Binh Industrial Park Project with an area of 675 hectares, total investment capital of more than 11 trillion VND. Up to now, the investor has paid nearly 76 billion VND equivalent to an area of 21.7 hectares to serve the groundbreaking ceremony in December 2025. The project is continuing to collect statistics on land acquisition for the first phase area of 190 hectares to deploy infrastructure.

Yen Binh 3 Industrial Park project has a total investment of more than 4,000 billion VND. The project owner has coordinated to conduct statistics and count about 200 hectares/295 hectares and 219 graves; has paid and advanced nearly 100 billion VND, equivalent to 30 hectares.

Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park project has a total investment capital of more than 3,600 billion VND, has counted 163 hectares, and advanced compensation funds of nearly 270 billion VND, equivalent to an area of more than 73 hectares.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan requested departments and branches to urgently create a "green channel" in handling records and administrative procedures for industrial park infrastructure investment projects.

The Van Xuan Ward Green Park and Lake Project is the largest green park and tree project in the province and is currently speeding up construction progress.

Despite efforts, the progress of the above projects has not met requirements due to both subjective and objective reasons. Investors have requested the province to continue to support in removing difficulties in site clearance and speeding up the construction progress of resettlement areas.

After the field inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan chaired a working session with the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, industrial park infrastructure investors and leaders of southern communes and wards.

Concluding the working session, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order to successfully implement the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and create a breakthrough in economic growth, Thai Nguyen needs new momentum in industrial development. To attract large investors, units capable of creating high production value, the province must have large-scale land and synchronous infrastructure in industrial parks.

Therefore, along with existing industrial zones and clusters, it is necessary to accelerate the construction of new industrial zones and clusters to welcome the investment wave in the coming time. This is a key political task of the entire political system, especially the professional sectors, Party committees and local authorities. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the units to deploy the work with a spirit of determination, high concentration, clear people, clear tasks, and check the progress every day and every week.

For project investors, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested strict adherence to progress milestones and project quality assurance. Specifically: Projects with a scale of 300 hectares or more must clear 70% or more of agricultural land in the second quarter of 2026, with infrastructure investment having cleared 50%; projects under 300 hectares must clear 100% of agricultural land.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the Party Committees and authorities of localities in the project area must closely coordinate with specialized sectors and investors to synchronously implement tasks, especially the construction of resettlement areas. If necessary, the province will consider applying a "temporary residence" mechanism to ensure the progress of infrastructure construction in industrial parks to welcome large investors.
