Quang Ngai's GRDP growth in the first 6 months of the year reached more than 11.5%, leading the country.

In the first 6 months of the year, Quang Ngai had the highest economic growth rate in the country with an impressive increase of 11.51%. The industry still plays a key role in the economic development of Quang Ngai province.

In the first six months of 2025, the GRDP growth rate of the former Quang Ngai province was estimated at 12.4%, the highest in the country among the 63 former provinces and cities. This is the highest growth rate compared to the same six-month period in the past five years.

The figures are even more impressive considering the merger of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces; the GRDP growth of the (new) Quang Ngai province in the first six months of the year also led the country, increasing by 11.51%.

Notably, industry and construction continue to play a leading role in Quang Ngai's economic development, achieving a growth rate of 21.38%. Within this, the manufacturing industry remains a pillar of the province's economy, with a growth rate of 22.59%.

Several industries recorded spectacular growth: metal production increased by nearly 40%, electricity production and distribution by over 36%, and drainage and wastewater treatment by over 51%. The textile and garment manufacturing industries also increased by over 22%. In addition, the service sector also grew by more than 8.5%.

Based on current prices, Quang Ngai province's total GRDP for the first six months of the year reached over 67,000 billion VND. Of this, industry and construction accounted for the largest share, followed by services and agriculture.

Quang Ngai Provincial Party Secretary Bui Thi Quynh Van emphasized that the impressive GRDP growth results in the first six months of the year are the foundation for Quang Ngai to complete its annual plan and create momentum for the next phase. The province will continue to prioritize improving the investment environment, developing transportation infrastructure, and accelerating the progress of key projects.

Against the backdrop of a strong national economic recovery, Quang Ngai's rise to the top of the country is clear evidence of a well-directed, in-depth development strategy with the potential for long-term breakthroughs.
