In the first 6 months of the year, Quang Ngai had the highest economic growth rate in the country with an impressive increase of 11.51%. The industry still plays a key role in the economic development of Quang Ngai province.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the GRDP growth rate of Quang Ngai province (old) is estimated at 12.4%, the highest in the country among 63 provinces and cities (old). This is the highest increase compared to the same 6 months in the past 5 years.

The figure is even more impressive when merging the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum , the GRDP growth of Quang Ngai province (new) in the first 6 months of the year also led the country, increasing by 11.51%.

Notably, industry and construction still affirmed their key role in Quang Ngai's economic development with a growth rate of 21.38%. In particular, the processing and manufacturing industry continued to be the pillar of the provincial economy, with a growth rate of 22.59%.

Some industries recorded spectacular growth: metal production increased by nearly 40%, electricity production and distribution increased by more than 36%, drainage and wastewater treatment increased by over 51%. Textile and garment industries also increased by over 22%. In addition, the service sector also increased by more than 8.5%.

At current prices, the total GRDP of Quang Ngai province in the first 6 months of the year reached more than 67,000 billion VND. Of which, industry and construction accounted for the largest proportion, followed by services and agriculture.

Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Quynh Van emphasized that the impressive GRDP growth results in the first 6 months of the year are the foundation for Quang Ngai to complete the yearly plan and create momentum for the next phase. The province will continue to prioritize improving the investment environment, developing transport infrastructure and accelerating the progress of key projects.

In the context of the country's economy recovering strongly and Quang Ngai taking the lead in the country is a clear demonstration of a development strategy in the right direction, with depth and long-term breakthrough potential.
