Nvidia Technology Group Builds AI Supercomputer in Israel

On May 29, the US technology corporation Nvidia said it is building a large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer in Israel.

Nvidia said the supercomputer, dubbed Israel-1, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, is expected to deliver AI performance of up to 8 exaflops, making it one of the world's fastest supercomputers for AI computing.

The supercomputer is scheduled to start operating in late 2023.

The device will be used in industries, for research and development projects, and as a template for building supercomputers based on the Nvidia Spectrum-X platform that the company is launching at the same time.

The new Ndivia Spectrum-X platform is designed to improve the performance and efficiency of AI clouds based on Ethernet - the technology that connects devices in LAN , WAN./.
