Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group supports Quang Tri with 9.5 billion VND to implement social security projects

This morning, July 7, on the occasion of the Festival for Peace , Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PETROVIETNAM) Tran Quang Dung led a delegation of PETROVIETNAM to visit and provide financial support for social security projects in Quang Tri province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam received and worked with the delegation.

The social security projects supported by PETROVIETNAM in Quang Tri province in 2024 have a total value of 9.5 billion VND, including: support for the construction of A Xing Kindergarten, Lia commune, Huong Hoa district, worth 5 billion VND and the Flood Shelter combined with community activities in Ward 1, Quang Tri town, worth 4.5 billion VND.

Since 2020, PETROVIETNAM has supported 50 billion VND for social security in Quang Tri, focusing on educational projects in Quang Tri town and Trieu Phong district.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam thanked and appreciated PETROVIETNAM for many years, along with production and business activities, for supporting the implementation of social security projects in the province, especially educational support projects that have shown very good results.

For more information on the Planning of Quang Tri province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, including the development orientation to turn Quang Tri into an Energy Center of the Central region, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that in the coming time, PETROVIETNAM will support the survey and research on the possibility of realizing the vision of turning Quang Tri into an Energy Center of the Central region, including projects on LNG exploitation and renewable energy, clean energy.

From there, contribute to helping Quang Tri stand on its own two feet and develop strongly, so that the people of Quang Tri in particular and the whole country in general can be proud of the land that once suffered much pain during the war and is making strong efforts to revive, side by side with other provinces in the country.
