YCH Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee sign strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen cross-border trade corridor

On July 10th, YCH Group (Singapore) and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the development of logistics infrastructure, e-commerce, and green transformation in Tay Ninh province. This event plays a significant role, opening up opportunities for local businesses to export goods across borders, while also contributing to strengthening the trade corridor between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between YCH Group and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province; and Dr. Robert Yap, Chairman of YCH Group. The event emphasized the strategic cooperation between YCH Group and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province in enhancing logistics capabilities, supporting local businesses in expanding exports, strengthening high-quality human resources, and promoting sustainable development.

One of the key aspects of the memorandum of understanding is the implementation of a complex logistics project in the Moc Bai Border Economic Zone, serving as a transit point for goods between Vietnam and Cambodia, while also addressing congestion and facilitating the flow of goods through the border gate. It is expected that, once operational, the complex logistics project will connect with logistics centers invested in by the YCH Group in Vietnam and other markets to create a seamless supply chain network throughout the region.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "The cooperation with YCH Group on developing logistics infrastructure, e-commerce, and green transformation is an important milestone in the strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Tay Ninh province."

With 70 years of experience providing comprehensive supply chain solutions for multinational corporations, YCH Group will participate in the development and operation of the integrated logistics project, applying advanced technological solutions, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to optimize the management and transportation of goods. The People's Committee of Tay Ninh province is committed to supporting the completion of legal procedures and creating favorable conditions for the project's rapid and efficient implementation.

To support the local business community, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), YCH Group will facilitate access for Tay Ninh products to the Singapore and Asian markets through the YSG e-commerce platform. The Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will also provide support through appropriate policies, encouraging local businesses to participate in cross-border e-commerce.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ and Director of Strategy, Sustainable Development and Communications, YCH Group, shared his honor in collaborating with Tay Ninh province to implement a strategy for developing smart and sustainable logistics infrastructure.

Furthermore, developing high-quality logistics human resources is also a key area of ​​cooperation. YCH Group will implement intensive training programs, in collaboration with partners within its ecosystem, to equip local workers with modern logistics operational skills, the application of new technologies, and sustainable practices.

Regarding sustainable development, YCH Group is committed to integrating solutions such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and carbon credits into its projects in Tay Ninh, aiming for net-zero emissions. The Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will collaborate by providing resources and support policies to promote green and sustainable logistics infrastructure.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: “The cooperation with YCH Group on developing logistics infrastructure, e-commerce, and green transformation is an important milestone in the strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Tay Ninh province, especially in the context of Tay Ninh province being newly merged from Tay Ninh and Long An provinces. We believe that with YCH Group's capabilities and extensive experience, this cooperation will bring outstanding results, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the province.”
