YCH Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee sign strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen cross-border trade corridor

On July 10, YCH Group (Singapore) and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the development of logistics infrastructure, e-commerce and green transformation in Tay Ninh Province. The event plays an important role, opening up opportunities for local businesses to export goods across borders, while contributing to strengthening the trade corridor between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Signing Ceremony of Strategic Cooperation between YCH Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee; Dr. Robert Yap, Chairman of YCH Group. The event emphasized the strategic cooperation between YCH Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee in enhancing logistics capacity, supporting local enterprises to expand exports, enhancing high-quality human resources and promoting sustainable development.

One of the key contents of the memorandum is to implement the Complex Logistics Project at Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone, which will act as a transit point for goods between Vietnam and Cambodia, while also resolving congestion and facilitating the flow of goods through the border gate. It is expected that when put into operation, the Complex Logistics Project will connect with logistics centers invested by YCH Group in Vietnam and other markets to create a supply chain network throughout the region.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "The cooperation with YCH Group on developing logistics infrastructure, e-commerce and green transformation is an important milestone in the strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Tay Ninh province."

YCH Group, with 70 years of experience in providing comprehensive supply chain solutions for multinational enterprises, will participate in developing and operating the complex logistics project, applying advanced technology solutions, especially artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize the management and transportation of goods. Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee is committed to supporting the completion of legal procedures, creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented quickly and effectively.

In order to support the local business community, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), YCH Group will facilitate Tay Ninh products to access the Singapore market and the Asian region through the YSG e-commerce platform. Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will also support through appropriate policies, encouraging local businesses to participate in cross-border e-commerce.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ and Director of Strategy, Sustainable Development and Communications, YCH Group, shared the honor of cooperating with Tay Ninh province to implement the strategy of developing smart and sustainable logistics infrastructure.

In addition, developing high-quality logistics human resources is also an important content of cooperation. YCH Group will implement specialized training programs, in conjunction with partners in its ecosystem, to equip local workers with modern logistics operations skills, new technology applications and sustainable practices.

Regarding sustainable development orientation, YCH Group commits to integrating solutions such as renewable energy, electric vehicles and carbon credit usage for projects in Tay Ninh, moving towards the goal of net zero emissions. Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will accompany in providing resources and supporting policies to promote green and sustainable logistics infrastructure.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "The cooperation with YCH Group on developing logistics infrastructure, e-commerce and green transformation is an important milestone in the strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Tay Ninh province, especially in the context of Tay Ninh province being newly merged from Tay Ninh province and Long An province. We believe that with the capacity and extensive experience of YCH Group, the cooperation will bring outstanding results, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the province."

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between YCH Group and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee marks an important step forward, not only opening up new opportunities for local businesses to reach out to international markets, but also contributing to realizing the goal of sustainable development, building Tay Ninh into a strategic logistics and trade center of the region.
