Thai Binh: Prosecution and temporary detention of the Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Ha district

On the evening of October 3rd, the Thai Binh Provincial Police announced the expansion of the investigation into the case of "Abuse of power while performing official duties" and "Exploitation of position and authority while performing official duties" that occurred in Hong An commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province.

Accordingly, based on the results of the expanded investigation into the case of "Abuse of power while performing official duties" and "Abuse of position and authority while performing official duties" occurring in Hong An commune, Hung Ha district, the Hung Ha District Police Investigation Agency has issued a decision to prosecute, arrest, and detain Mr. Vu Van Hanh (born in 1970, residing in Dong Do commune, Hung Ha district), the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hung Ha District People's Committee, for investigation into the act of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".

Previously, the Investigation Police Department of Hung Ha District Police issued a decision to prosecute and execute an arrest warrant against Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong (born in 1966, residing in Tran Lam Ward, Thai Binh City). Before his arrest, Mr. Duong held the following positions: Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Ha District; Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thai Binh Province; and Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Thai Binh Province.
