Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 246/QD-TTg dated February 5, 2025 on the establishment of the State Appraisal Council to appraise and adjust the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 (Council).

Establishment of the State Appraisal Council to appraise and adjust the Long Thanh International Airport Project

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 246/QD-TTg dated February 5, 2025 on the establishment of the State Appraisal Council to appraise and adjust the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 (Council).

According to the Decision, the Minister of Planning and Investment is the Chairman of the Council.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment as Vice Chairman of the Council.

The members include leaders of the Ministries of Transport, Finance, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Science and Technology, Information and Communications, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Agriculture and Rural Development, National Defense, Public Security, and Justice; leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam; leaders of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises; and leaders of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.

The responsibilities and powers of the Council, the Chairman of the Council, the Vice Chairman of the Council, the Council members, and the Council's standing body shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 29/2021/ND-CP dated March 26, 2021 of the Government regulating the order and procedures for appraising important national projects and monitoring and evaluating investments. The Council's appraisal report must clearly confirm whether the Project adjustment dossier is eligible or not eligible for the Prime Minister's approval.

The Council shall use the seal and account (if necessary) of the Ministry of Planning and Investment to serve the Council's operations.

The Ministry of Transport is responsible for providing complete documents related to the Project adjustment appraisal process.

The Council shall dissolve itself after the Project is approved for adjustment.
