Removing difficulties for businesses investing in infrastructure and in industrial clusters

In order to speed up infrastructure investment progress and attract investment in industrial clusters, on the afternoon of April 24, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a conference with representatives of a number of infrastructure investment enterprises and enterprises in industrial clusters in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, representatives of enterprises requested the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to direct localities to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, construction of resettlement areas; investing in traffic infrastructure, electricity, water outside the fence of industrial clusters (ICs) to ensure unity and synchronization. At the same time, support to accelerate the implementation of projects that have started construction and attract projects to the ICs...

The Department of Industry and Trade proposed that departments and branches coordinate to speed up the implementation of procedures for approving investment policies, adjusting decisions on establishing industrial parks and related procedures.

Concluding the Conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan affirmed: The province always pays attention to directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles for enterprises investing in infrastructure in industrial parks and secondary enterprises. The Provincial People's Committee will direct and assign tasks to each department, branch and locality to focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles, creating trust for enterprises. She requested the leaders of departments, branches and localities to assign staff to act as focal points to coordinate with enterprises to carry out investment procedures, site clearance work, etc.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested enterprises to actively coordinate with the government, departments and branches to speed up the progress of investment in infrastructure construction of industrial parks. Secondary investors, once having land, need to promptly implement projects for production, business, creating jobs for workers, and actively contributing to the socio -economic development of the province.

According to the Industrial Park Development Plan of Thai Nguyen province for the period 2021-2030 approved by the Prime Minister, there are 41 industrial parks with a total area of ​​2,067 hectares. Currently, 27/41 industrial parks have been established with a total area of ​​1,073 hectares; total registered capital of VND 10,898 billion. 13 industrial parks have come into operation, attracting 75 projects/production facilities. The average occupancy rate of the operating industrial parks is 56%.

Total revenue of investment projects in industrial clusters in 2024 is 10,612 billion VND. The total number of employees working in industrial clusters is 11,738.
