This is an opportunity for the younger generation to express their gratitude to their elders and create a human connection, reminding them of their responsibility to preserve the flow of traditional national art, including Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera).
In a friendly atmosphere, the contestants met and had intimate conversations with the artists: writer Mac Can, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien, and artists Huynh Thanh Tra, Lam Son, and Ngoc Dang.
Despite their advanced age and declining health, the faces of these veteran artists still radiate joy and pride as they see the younger generation passionate about and pursuing traditional art.
"The 'Golden Bell of Traditional Vietnamese Music' competition, organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television, has been running for the past 20 years. This visit to the Thi Nghe Nursing Home by promising young talents is a beautiful testament to the tradition of remembering one's roots."
