In recognition of Thao Vi’s outstanding achievements, Duy Tan University awarded her a 100% full scholarship to study her favorite major, multimedia communications. This is a worthy reward for the female student’s efforts.
Perfect score of 10 in geography
Born and raised in the peaceful countryside of Go Noi commune ( Da Nang city), Thao Vi is the youngest of four siblings. Coming from a family that provides wedding services, the little girl, in addition to helping her parents, always devotes herself to studying.
Thanks to her scientific time management, balancing between hours of focused listening to lectures in class and hours of serious self-study, Thao Vi has achieved many goals in her studies.
Among the subjects, Thao Vi loves geography the most. Unlike many students who approach geography as a graduation exam, Thao Vi sees the beauty in this subject.
"I started to like studying geography since my secondary school years. Every time I learned about maps, weather, climate or economic zones, I felt closer to my homeland.
The Central region where I was born and raised is a land that suffers from many natural disasters, droughts, and floods, so at first I wanted to study to find out the causes of those phenomena.
But the more I study, the more I am fascinated by not only nature and geography, but this subject also helps me understand deeply about people, society, economy, and almost the whole life around us," Thao Vi shared.
From here, Thao Vi found for herself a suitable learning method for this favorite subject.
I won the consolation prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Contest in Geography for the 2024-2025 school year (grade 12), especially achieving a perfect score of 10 in Geography , out of a total graduation exam score of 27.34/30 points.
With her academic ability proven through impressive scores, Thao Vi will receive a 100% full scholarship from Duy Tan University.
"My family has four children. My parents always believe that no matter how hard it is, they will try their best to give their children a good education. Therefore, this full scholarship is a gift for my parents, to thank them for their hard work and sacrifice for their children.
At the same time, the scholarship also helps reduce the family's economic burden and brings a lot of joy when I embark on a new journey of study at university," Thao Vi shared sincerely.

Choose to study multimedia communications
Today's Gen Z is always quite practical when it comes to researching and choosing a career to study at university. Thao Vi is the same, she spends a lot of time self-aware of what she has, what she needs and what she has to do.
"I am quite sociable, enthusiastic and adaptable. In particular, I am also a girl who loves creating content and wants to inspire the community positively.
I hope to find a university that meets all the requirements of learning environment, teaching staff and facilities to develop my strengths, help me express my personality and nurture my long-term career aspirations.
When I did some research, I found that the multimedia communications major at Duy Tan University had all the elements I wanted. Therefore, I am really happy and believe that my upcoming time in the classroom will be filled with many interesting things," Thao Vi confided.
Thao Vi's favorite saying is "I climb the mountain not so that the whole world can look up to me, but so that I can admire the whole world."
That saying partly shows the young girl's profound and powerful outlook on life: Success is not to prove yourself to others, but to give each of us the opportunity to see bigger things, to understand more about life and about ourselves.
