Warning of the risk of extremely heavy rain with an intensity of over 150 mm in 3 hours, with the potential risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying and urban areas.

In addition, during today and tonight, the Central Highlands, Khanh Hoa , Eastern Lam Dong and the South will continue to have showers, moderate rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 20-40 mm, in some places over 100 mm.

At sea, at Ly Son station, strong northerly winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 were observed. It is forecasted that during the day and night of October 26, the northern part of the North East Sea will have strong northeasterly winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas, waves 3-5 m high. In the Gulf of Tonkin, the northeasterly winds will gradually strengthen to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 1.5-3 m high. The sea area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang will have strong northeasterly winds of level 5-6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas, waves 2-4 m high.

In addition, the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand and the East Sea area will continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms; during thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7 and waves over 2 meters high.

Experts recommend that people in the Central and Central Highlands regions should closely monitor forecasts and proactively prevent heavy rain, landslides and localized flooding in the coming days.
