Nghe An weather turns cold at night and early morning; warning of flood risk due to heavy rain in some localities

FLASH FLOOD, LANDSLIDES, AND LANDSLIDE WARNINGS DUE TO RAINFALL OR RIVERS IN THE NORTH-CENTRAL REGION

According to the North Central Region Meteorological Station, from 10 PM on November 6th to 4 AM on November 7th, the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving very heavy rain. The forecast indicates that rain will continue in the North Central region in the next few hours, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain. Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 10 mm to 30 mm, with some areas exceeding 40 mm.

Rainfall measured at automatic rain gauge stations: Yen Nhan 140.8 mm, Yen Khuong 87.8 mm, Yen Thang 73 mm, Son Lu 69.4 mm, Tam Lu 66 mm (Thanh Hoa); My Son 1 70.2 mm, Quynh Luu 50.4 mm ( Nghe An ); Do Diem 65.8 mm (Ha Tinh).

This is accompanied by a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes in residential areas, and flooding in low-lying areas in the districts.

- Thanh Hoa : Thuong Xuan, Lang Chanh, Quan Son, Muong Lat

- Nghe An: Do Luong.

In addition, precautions should be taken against flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, and transportation routes in the districts of Quang Xuong and Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa); Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai (Nghe An); and Ky Anh (Ha Tinh).

Flash floods and landslides can have very serious impacts on the environment, threatening people's lives; causing localized traffic congestion, affecting the movement of vehicles; destroying public and economic infrastructure, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities. People should limit travel across underpasses, bridges, pedestrian bridges, steep slopes, and embankments in the areas that have been warned above.

Cloudy skies, with rain, sometimes moderate rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind, force 2-3.

- Temperature: 23 – 28°C

- Humidity: 75 – 80%

* Cua Lo and Ngu Island area

Cloudy skies, with rain, sometimes moderate rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind, force 2-3.

- Temperature: 23 – 27°C

- Humidity: 80 – 85%

* Next 48 hours: Affected by a strengthening continental high-pressure ridge, which will then stabilize and weaken, Nghe An province will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The weather will turn cold at night and early morning.

During thunderstorms, be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
