Statistics of land clearance in Lao Cai station area

Land clearance officers conduct statistics and count items.

According to the design documents, the road connecting to Lao Cai station and station square affects 8 households in Son Man 1 village and Hong Giang village, Lao Cai ward.

To ensure that the statistics and counting work is carried out publicly, transparently, and with the right subjects, the officers of the Project Management Board and representatives of households have reviewed and declared each item in detail according to current regulations of law.

Lao Cai - Coc San Regional Project Management Board held a meeting to inform households about the project.

Previously, the Lao Cai - Coc San Regional Project Management Board held a meeting to publicize project information, compensation and site clearance policies, and resettlement locations; and directly answered people's questions related to compensation and site clearance support policies.

Households in the affected area all agree with the State's policy and hope that relevant agencies will speed up the resettlement process so that people can soon stabilize their lives.

The early completion of the statistics and land clearance work for the road connecting to Lao Cai station and the square will create favorable conditions for the groundbreaking of Lao Cai station on December 19, meeting the plan as directed by the Prime Minister .

The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project starts at the cross-border rail connection point (Lao Cai province); ends at Lach Huyen station (Hai Phong city), 419 km long, with a total investment of more than VND 203,200 billion (equivalent to USD 8.37 billion). The route has 18 stations, including 15 mixed stations for passenger and freight trains and 3 train-making stations.

The railway has a design speed of 160 km/h for the Lao Cai station - Lach Huyen port station section, 80 km/h for the Lao Cai - branch sections, and 120 km/h for the section passing through Hanoi and coinciding with the eastern belt railway.

The project consists of 10 components, of which Component Project 1 invests in infrastructure connecting stations and station squares, with a total investment of nearly VND2,300 billion, starting on December 19. Component Project 2 builds railway works, with a total investment of VND155,500 billion, starting at the end of 2026 and completing in 2030. In addition to the two construction projects, the project also includes 7 site clearance projects and one power infrastructure relocation project.
