According to the design documents, the road connecting to the Lao Cai station and station square will affect 8 households in Son Man 1 and Hong Giang villages, Lao Cai ward.
To ensure that the statistical and counting process is conducted openly, transparently, and accurately, project management officials and representatives of the households have reviewed and specifically declared each item in accordance with current legal regulations.

Previously, the Lao Cai - Coc San Regional Project Management Board held a public meeting to provide information on the project, compensation policies for land clearance, and resettlement locations; and directly answered questions from local residents regarding compensation and resettlement support policies.
The households in the affected area all agree with the government's policy and hope that the relevant agencies will expedite the resettlement process so that people can stabilize their lives soon.
The early completion of the survey and land clearance work for the road connecting to the Lao Cai station and station square will create favorable conditions for the commencement of construction of the Lao Cai station on December 19th, meeting the plan as directed by the Prime Minister .

The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project starts at the border crossing point (Lao Cai province) and ends at Lach Huyen station (Hai Phong city). It is 419 km long and has a total investment of over 203,200 billion VND (equivalent to 8.37 billion USD). The line has 18 stations, including 15 mixed-use stations for passenger and freight trains and 3 stations for train decommissioning.
The railway line has a design speed of 160 km/h for the section from Lao Cai station to Lach Huyen port station, 80 km/h for the section from Lao Cai to the branch lines, and 120 km/h for the section passing through Hanoi and coinciding with the eastern ring railway.
The project comprises 10 components, with Component 1 investing in infrastructure connecting stations and station plazas, with a total investment of nearly 2,300 billion VND, commenced on December 19th. Component 2 involves the construction of the railway, with a total investment of 155,500 billion VND, scheduled to commence at the end of 2026 and be completed in 2030. In addition to the two construction projects, the project also includes seven land clearance projects and one project to relocate electrical infrastructure.
