The information "350 households in Hue were isolated for a week without any support" is false.

On the evening of November 2, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Chau Ward ( Hue City) issued a statement denying the content of a clip circulating on social media that claimed that residents of An Thanh residential group were isolated for a week but had not received any support.

Previously, a clip filmed by a relief team appeared on Facebook. The clip recorded an interview with a woman at An Thanh residential group (Hoa Chau ward).

The information that '350 households in Hue have been isolated for a week without any support' as shown in the clip circulating on social media is untrue.

In the clip, this person said that An Thanh residential group has 350 households, has been isolated for about a week now, and has to travel by boat for about 30 minutes to reach. This person said that in the past few days, the people have not received any support.

This forced her to bring a list of households to meet the relief team to ask for support for local people. This clip then received a lot of attention, many Facebook pages quoted and spread, causing a stir in public opinion.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Chau Ward said that in recent days, the ward has been heavily affected by floods, and the lives of some households have faced many difficulties. However, the statement of the woman in the clip is not true, causing misunderstanding, affecting the reputation of the government and the general relief work.

At the same time, the government asked people to raise their vigilance, not to share or spread unverified information; and called on all people to join hands, unite, and accompany the locality, not to be taken advantage of, causing division of trust.

The leader of Hoa Chau Ward People's Committee informed that the coordination of relief goods was chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward after conducting a field inspection, so there was no such thing as the person in the clip said.

As soon as the flood occurred, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the ward's organizations promptly took action, mobilizing all resources to visit and support the people with necessities, food, and drinking water.
